Haven't hired him... Finished the crazy boat achievement just before he started coming around so my only use for him would be to resell items and make $... Until I have a desperate need for $ I like e few diamonds I have to stay in my own pocket!

after a few days of him standing there idol, he violently relieves you of your delivery truck. If you have a surplus of shovels and explosives you are able to thwart his vehicular acquisition attempts. Your vehicle will require repairs after the encounter.

Tom is Greg's son. That's why Tom goes the same way every time. He goes to Greg's (his dads) farm grab your order and then Greg comes on your farm to buy stuff from you cheap so he can later sell it back to you through Tom.

I'm in the decoration process now. I have fencing along the roadside, from the edges of road to the house. I'm in the process of building a stone wall along the river. I can't wait to get to get to level 20 (I'm currently on 14) so I can unlock the boat. How do you get your XP up quickly?

Save your money and decorate later is my advice. Use your coins in the newspaper to scrounge up low priced items you can use to resell or to fill truck orders. To gain xps quickly concentrate on the orders that pay less coins but more xps.

I have a couple times. I have the option to use him for 15 diamonds a day, I probably wouldn't if he were more expensive. While he was free I used him to finish my Captain achievement. I also used him to get Turbo Trucker III. He's an easy way to make money too. I'll send him to get the most expensive thing for my level (cheesecakes) and then keep a few and sell the rest at full price in my stall. Makes me about 1500 gold every two hours.

I used my diamonds to up my production queues before using them on him though. I think that is more valuable. Using him is diamonds well spent IMO if you have them. Better than accidentally speeding up your wheat production

Here's some perspective:

Speaking on the subject of taking forever...

Helter Smelter III - produce 3800 bars
....with all 5 smelters producing silver bars only....
5 bars every 8 hours
15 bars every 24 hours(1 day)
It'll take a little over 253 days to achieve this without using diamonds.
That's around 8 months give or take.
Insanity! lol

This makes Citizen Kane III look like child's play.

You know when you open the paper and there's materials for sale- well I've found that the rest of the non materials ads in that paper, at least 50 percent of them have materials. So for those who are after planks, and aren't quick off the mark, instead of heading straight for the material ads, try the non material ads first. I've had a lot of luck getting planks this way. Hope this helps.
