Hay Day Discussion and Game Help Thread (NO FRIEND REQUESTS)

I sent Support an email re: crops that I have harvested but they don't show up in my silo. Especially annoying when this happened with pumpkins that take longer to grow. I was glad to get a quick response from them, they said this is a known issue and they are working to resolve it. As a bonus, 5 DIAMONDS magically appeared. I was very surprised, I'm guessing it was from them because I can't think of how else I could have gotten them.

I believe it was once mentioned someone felt like they got a diamond for every 10 attempts and I would have to say I feel it is about the same for me. Personally it isn't worth it to me to buy the mine for the sole purpose of getting diamonds only because you will be stuck with a ton of ores until it sells off either slowly through people visiting your stall or Greg (which takes around 24 hrs or so). I once had a ton of ores and was willing to sell it to the virtual visitors at a lower amount, but they never asked for it and would rather not have a bunch of ores hanging around tying up my stall and barn again. If you don't mind having a stall full of ores and don't mind waiting for it to sell off, then sure, get the mine for diamonds. As you already know, you won't be smelting them all quickly enough.

I like the mine as a supplement to mystery boxes because the boxes give 5 and if I need 1 more, I can blast the mine until 1 pops out. So I guess in summary it is up to you. Just be prepared to slowly get rid of ore if you are going to be blasting away to your heart's content in search of diamonds. :)

For reference:
1 dynamite = 2 ores
1 TNT = 3 ores
1 shovel = 4 ores
With the occasional 1 diamond

Thank you very much for the detailed response. I was suspecting that people are having trouble with the ore excess. I have been buying ores so cheap until now that the only reason left to open the mine really were diamonds. But as my barn and silo are almost always maxed out I guess I will pass on the mine for now.

Hi everyone! I think I'm going crazy but how do I find the newspaper with all the sales. I'm connected to facebook. Thanks

Tap the mailbox in the game. It's at the end of the driveway.

You can keep upgrading the size of your silo and barn. Click the upgrade silo button and see what you need.

Add neighbors and visit their roadside stalls to buy wheat or corm if you run out. Alternatively, you can check the newspaper.

Jam Maker worth it?

$147 - apple jam
$168 - raspberry jam
$225 - cherry jam
$261 - blackberry jam

Holidae- so in the end would you recommend the jam maker? Do you get many orders for jam? Worth it or no?

Half of the orders on my order board request a jar or two of jam. I've only had one boat shipment request jam thus far. The walk ups have not requested jam. For me it's worth it but if requests for jam aren't frequent there's no need. Keep in mind if you've ever seen jam for sale in the paper or at a neighbors farm. I know I have not. I've been stocking up because they're so scarce.

Hello everyone

I have read countless pages of this thread but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

So after a long time of more the less buy & resell activity I have accumulated another 26k gold and am wondering whether I should invest it into opening the mine (already got the boat) or keep saving for the next machine which will probabşy be the jam maker, and I saw somewhere here that it costs almost 100k (!!).

Ores arent of much value to me at the moment. I bought ne smelter and am producing silver gold and platinum bars (at quite a slow pace :).

QUESTION: For those who have oepened the mine, are the 26k worth it in terms of diamonds? I read somewhere here that someone here got 14 diamonds so far from the mine, which is nice, but how much time / gold / dynamite were invested for that? If it will take my 1000 TNTs to get 5 diamonds I would rather keep my 2k gold and wait till I get diamonds from treasure boxes.

Thanks in advance.

I mentioned about getting 14 diamonds from the mine before. Now I'm up to 20 diamonds from the mine. I buy shovels when there cheap and use those for the mine.

I recently bought the Juicer and a second Smelter. I could have been bought both but I was hoarding my $$$$. I now have 4 slots for each of my farm equipment. I tried playing the game without upgrading any equipment but man is the game easier with the upgrades.

I also have 500 storage for my Silo and Barn. I'm currently level 31.

The game reconnected on me 9 times today. Man was it annoying when trying to put items up for sale.
