I have been seeing those tickets for the last few weeks, since the last update I believe. I wonder if it's related to the same thing when some users got Tom and others didn't.

I have also been seeing the ticket every 4 hours or so since the update...mine started about 3 days after I had Tom. Seemed like when toms "free trial period" expired that's when the tickets started

You are entitled to your own opinions but people who are new to the game and have items will want to price them at the highest as they need to save up money for the expensive production machines. Im level 35 and still saving for these machines and when i am doing, i put things at full price, if people need to buy them then fair enough, thats what they are there for but sometimes they are left there as no one needs them (supply and demand) and so Greg will buy them from me to take them off my stall. Its now only once every 2 days or so that he comes so i don't see a problem with it. If you dont like the feature then you can of course price your items at a price that will be snapped up, but then it will take you longer to save money to progress onto other machines. Also if you price your items low, then Greg will not buy from you as your items will hopefully already have been sold.

Max prices are a great idea, can you imagine the amount of items at stupid prices if there was no max? Materials will be sky high and no one will be able to afford to upgrade and then people will not sell or buy these products and hoard them all for themselves just to make sure they can upgrade.

I can appreciate the "every two days or so" penalization. Atleast the game makes you wait to get the maximum profit for your product. I do still wish that the market could be defined by what the players make of it. Yes, there will be spikes for certain goods, yes there will be steals. That's how real markets work. However, this might not exactly be the game for that kind of real world mercantile simulation.

My main issue actually isn't that there is a maximum in place. It does help to limit crazy pricing for things, which would most likely inhibit new players from trying to join the economic circus. My main problem is that Greg bails you out at all. It just kind of detroys the multiplayer aspect of the game - atleast from my point of view.

Couldn't he bail you out by paying you HALF of what you put the items on sale for, thereby making it more profitable to trade with PLAYERS rather than an AI?

Even with the 'Greg mechanic' in place, prices do rise and fall, some people will price high, some people will price low to sell things. You can always find bargains in the paper...you just have to search for them. :)

I often find that low level players have not yet realised that you can increase the price of items and so put them on at the price that pops up when you click the item to sell. These are obviously bargains but i cant help feel sorry for them when they are trying to progress in the game...i wish i could send a message to them and tell them to increase their prices a bit! Even when i find a low level player who has increased their prices, i try to help them out buying what i can as i know what it feels like to not have that much.

With just these two ideas, the whole game will not be fun anymore. Its a game, its supposed to be fun...can people not just let it be how the developers have imagined it to be?

Your suggestion to have the items expire is a great idea and personally, one that i have actually thought of before...especially when i do need something bought and it is not selling.
This is not an economics game, so try to be a little less serious about it, try to enjoy the amazingly fun game it can be (when the lag has gone anyway!!!)

Yeah, I hate that in order to have a real market simulation, I have to rely on newbies like myself to price things too low. It would really be nice to see a competetive market that isn't inundated with the max value of bacon and eggs on 8 out of 8 pages. You can take one look at the newspaper and immediately know who is playing this game with others and who is really just playing it by themselves.

Oh... and I didn't think it was a nasty comment. I realize that what I am really looking for in this game is a real-time market to buy, sell, and trade. Unfortunately, this game is a bit lacking in that region. Still fun as crap, mind you, and I will certainly keep playing it. Doubly unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any other similar games out there that satisfy that merchant itch for the ipad.

Paying half sounds like great idea too. But thats seems rather penalising if you just have something that hasn't sold, and your aim wasn't for Greg to buy them.

It would be heaven for the newspaper to be more varied, and not have some pages just full of blackberries and bacon & eggs.

Glad to hear you'll still be playing even though its not the game your after x i love this game and i've only been playing for a few months.

I think what is being missed is that overall it isn't more profitable to wait for Greg to buy it, it takes up a sale space that could be better used selling your more popular items. No one wants to have a slot taken up for a couple of days just to make 2k on bacon and eggs when trading 'normally they could make 10 x that. I'm on level 27 and have lots of friends now thanks to this forum and as such have whacked one load of bacon and eggs x 10 at full price in one of my slots... It's been 2 Days and no greg. So no, I don't think the option of Greg is a cop out way to make money, you're only way to make decent cash is on the open market. Greg is an aside from the main game and in my opinion not at all a good tactic for profit, as a result I don't see that there is a problem having that facility in the game :)

Using a diamond to spin again on the Wheel of Fortune truck. I never did it before and never will.

That truck is a waste of time. You could at least win 10x of the item instead of one. Then that game will be worth spending a diamond on.

F.A.R.M™ chooses you, you can't choose F.A.R.M™.

I totally agree.

I would love to have him back running errands again. Unfortunately, I have exactly 47 diamonds left... don't think I should spend on him in 1 go like that :) God forbids me accidently speed up and waste any of those diamonds on wheat and chicken... heheheh.

I still have him. He naps for awhile then ready for errands. Only thing I pay for is what he brings back..

He is ace, make the most of him :) I used him to get pies to sell and saws etc to clear my farm of trees etc
