Gold vouchers. Yeah that might take a while. Gosh they actually gives my stomach a happy time when they appear :-D
I've got bored of the newspaper too. It stresses me to hurry to get the goodies. Hehe. But it is great that they (edit: SuperCell) keep up with new stuff and it isn't all easy to reach I like that. I get bored of any other game ;-)

I forgot to ask you - what do you use the big amount of eg sugar for? Boats, trades?

I have given some sugars to some people in here in the past.
Otherwise I use them to make candies, cakes and stuff.
When I have lots I make espressos and lattes for nice xp and either sell those or fill boats.
Never sold sugar in my shop, but I used to fill my boat before I learnt I could send it away (back then no help signs either).

Bottom line: better to have and not need than to need and not have

Put it this way: I use sugar but always like to keep a stock of 50 minimum.
I got up to 100 sugars once and I blew 40 in a a few hours doing just espressos
