Ha! I would go on shopping sprees and fill it up. Or hoard bunch of items that I make til I feel like selling. I usually save the harder to make stuff for boat or truck orders to get xp. My barn always seem full.

You don't need the mine/smelter right away. But the other machines make good stuff. This is a waiting game. You can't rush things or you'll end up broke and not accomplishing anything.
