Gameloft is offering the excellent brain-training iPad game Brain Challenge HD for free for just today only as part of its Advent Calendar promotion, which runs from December 1st to December 24th exclusively on the Gameloft Twitter feed.
Brain Challenge is a really absorbing way of measuring how much of your brain you use, then training it to use more. There are different levels to choose from based on your abilities and needs, along with a simple scoring system to evaluate the level of brain activity. Twenty different games are featured, all designed to train certain areas of brain activity based on five categories of exercises – Memory, Visual, Logic, Math and Focus. At the end of each test, players receive marks based on accuracy and speed, and a diagram summarizes their performance in each category so that they can monitor their daily brain training.
You also have a training coach who guides you throughout the game, highlighting improvements and offering encouragement. Overall, it’s a really fun way of testing and training your brain use, and it’s free, so what have you got to lose?!
