Files deleted vs free space shown

Today I deleted more than 40 gb worth of files but it looks like only about 20gb worth of space was actually liberated.

will I eventually see this freed space?

We’re any of those photos? If so, you won’t recover the space until you delete the photos in the “Recently Deleted “ folder.

Otherwise, maybe reboot the iPad.

Many were. I deleted the recently deleted, rebooted and still not seeing the freed space.

If you go to Settings>General>iPad Storage and check the available space, does it agree with the available space shown in Settings>General>About?
