We enjoyed the first programme in a series called lost kingdoms of South America. This was on BBC four and it was the story of El Dorado: we have both visited many of the places shown.
Also way back I read a book about predictions for the decline of mankind and changes in the world through the loss of water as predicted by the Kogi a tribe which features at the end of the programme.

That sounds like a good show. I love those documentary types where we can learn about other cultures and see the sights some of us perhaps may never see with our own eyes. I would love to visit South America. I was due to go on a short 6 week travel there with my cousin and a friend of hers a few years back. Would have been Brazil (desperate to go there), to Argentina, to Chile, to Bolivia, and ending in Peru. Sadly, I wasn't able to go, but the other two girls went. My cousin fell in love in Peru, settled and now has a baby girl with her Peruvian husband to be! She says "I'm happy being a mountain dweller"
There was a three part documentary on recently about Italy that I would love to have seen also. I missed it! Must download it.
