1. In Excel, select cells and copy.
2. Paste these cells in a PowerPoint slide as either pdf or picture enhanced metafile.
3. Email the PowerPoint to anyone with an iPad
4. Open the attached PowerPoint on the iPad and the pasted picture has disappeared!

What evil magic is this?

With respect to your question, I think it will depend on a couple of things including the app that others are using to view the PPT presentation on their iPads (Keynote, QuickOffice, etc.) and what the actual file is. If the app cannot manage the file it will just drop it. So you'll either have to find a file that the app that they're using can handle or find an app that can handle the files you need to distribute.

That probably doesn't help a whole lot, but if you post some more details folks here may chime in with some more suggestions.

Welcome again and enjoy!

If I remember Metafiles, these actually link/reference the data from one file to another. If you change a cell in the Excel sheet, it would update on the PowerPoint. It is nothing as simple as copying some text and tables. That means when you copy the PowerPoint, you leave behind the data. So, if you do ever find an app that will support Metafiles, it would require you to have both files loaded onto the iPad.

What you are probably going to have to do is find some way to convert the PowerPoint's MetaFile to a simple table, then copy it to the iPad. I don't know enough about PowerPoint to tell you how to do this, or if you will simply have to go back and use a simple copy&past from the original file instead.
