Email inactive, still receiving Groupon daily

I posted this in the help section but maybe no responses so I'm starting it's own thread.

I've deactivated email on my iPad so no email comes in. However, I am still getting a popup of the daily Groupon deal. Why is this popping up? I'm not getting the Groupon emails, just a popup.

In which app is the pop up occurring in? In Safari?
