I've just swung by your place again picking up my cash from your party hats and I see lots of fails, but no diamond yet...Aaarrhh!

I sure hope you get one real soon, especially considering we are over a week in, it just doesn't seem right. Using higher level dragons does not seem to be working. It is a 'myth'

So, summoning the wonderful wizard of dragonvale with magic wand in hand - and urging him to shake that thing like crazy of your breeding caves.

I will be in W.A next Thursday and I'm confident you will have one by then.

I'm not sure it's a complete myth. I've had 4 epic dragons from my level 15 dragon pair, but none from my level 10 pair.

So, in my mind, that would mean that gemstone dragons aren't considered "rare" and you shouldn't need higher level dragons to get one. My first Diamond came from two level 10 dragons, and I've had none of the longer fails so far either. Just a thought.



I took the Idea from what you said and put labels to it - FLYER and SITTER! Lol!

Venting is letting out your pent up frustration. Here it seems to produce wished for dragons! In life, well, not so much.

I agree with you I got ONE diamond and I decided to display it first in case I can't get another :'( I have been trying non stop since it came out!!!!

I hope I can get it before it goes away!!!!

Threatened them and still no luck, got a Silver & Rust ...so that didn't work. So I'll treat them nice next time and maybe they will play 'NICE'

Thanks for letting me know what venting is. Consulted my "The Concise Oxford Dictionary of current English" which I have saved since my stiudies many years ago and where I also can find etymologies. I cant find the verb venting here ... but can read about different holes letting out ... different "things". Interesting. Must be the same word as vent in ventil. Must come from latin ventus - wind.

I have now finished my hunt for the Diamond; Why?
First I had my Egg for the Eggland. Then I got another and made it a Flyer, but there was no place in "the shelter" for it.
Had to put my first Gemdragon i Hib. Realised the hunt was ower.

Above you can see the result + 2 Silver + 2 Palty in Hib. The two in the Hib can fly for a second, and I will get me some bonus. The collection will make me rich or at least give Good Money.

After this I think I will hunt for another Gold Olympus.
I ask again: What is the most effective combo for the Gold Olympus - considering both time and making profit?

My son talked about it today - but I dont know what type of play it is ..

Perhaps I was a bit unclear; I took out one of my Turquois and let the furless little creature fly

But I say: more room on the Gemdragon-island - and if it's possible - make it a bit more interesting.
Now I am most found of the eggs.

After three platinum from the island (level 15 both) on my treasure hunt for the diamond, I put a level 11 ice and a level 15 (not used before) mine in the cave. Badaboom, there came a diamond! After that I but the platinum producing couple on the island - wohoooo, another diamond!

So in this case, I guess the luck of getting a gemstone is bigger in the cave with less levels on the dragons, although there are little chans on the island with higher level dragons.

Now, the dragon-hunt is on again, I'm trying to get couples from every dragon and making the egg-display complete. The goals did the truck for me, a kick in the but to finish..

Congrats Philip, a platinum you have. When you hatch it, you will get a nice little word from the wizard on your screen, with 5 free gems and a few coins too - a very nice little bonus.
