I use a system inspired by you members in this forum. Made it as simple as possible.
I name every single dragon with sort/type and number: for example Smoke4
When I use them very frequently in the breeding process I rename them temporarily with AAin front of the name - just to get them "on top" so I don't have to scroll.

Now I searched for a system to keep track of my big "collection", both the dragons living in the habitats and those resting in the cave, just to get an overviuw.
If some addict already has created such a system - in for example Excel it would be stupid to build your own - especially if you like me am not sure of the mathemathical functions in Excel. I only use it as a database ....

Your chart is excellent. I haven't got as involved as you. I have all the different dragons listed in a notebook and make a note of how many I have of each one. I have another chart showing who I have given gems to on which days and who has sent me one in return. So far the system is simple but seem to work.

Thank you for the gems you have sent me, I am pleased to give them back to you.

I've been using pure cold and pure lightning, trying to get moon. Is that a good combo? Seems to be fewest fails, but is there some rule about both being pure, not hybrids? I've tried several days (well, actually nights) without any luck.

You can get Hail with two pure element dragon. The Con is you'll get more Storm than Hail because Storm is common dragon than it's counterpart Hail. So the suggested combo is Firefly + Storm so you don't have to wait 5hrs everytime it fails. See the probability rate below:

Hmmmm, but there's so many more fails, not sure what to try.

Somehow I knew I would get my first garnet in my cave and not on my island. And that's is what happened. Finally got my first one.

As an opposite, I have promised myself of not doing any lists or tracks of anything in excel. I do that everyday in my work as well as home, so I'm just relaxing playing! But, I have dragon calculater, and there I see all my dragons (but keeping track has never been a trouble, started play from the beginning, so I have all dragons). I used to keep track of gems gifting, but now I'm lazy..

So, you can play without lists, if you feel that the game takes too much time otherwise!

I hope for a big update soon, more levels, new islands!

My chart has already helped me to get an overvieuw.
If you - like me - do things more on intuition - relaxing and trusting .. you can end up in a mess when an "egg-storm" like the one in christmas comes
Now I have killed a lot of dragons and there is place enough in the hib-cave.

When I worked on my Excel-chart, I discovered I had 1 Current dragon and 1 Egg.
