Okay, I feel better today. I went to lunch with friends, had my hair done, bought a darling new pair of shoes (and, yes, even at my advanced age that still gives a kick), and my husband brought me candy (he thinks it's for Halloween, but let's be real about this). When I got home I bought that last stupid piece in part 1! Now I'm ready to start over in part 2.

Must... Get... Last fragment... For stage two.... I've raced my iPod to death once already. Played for an hour and a half this morning before work. Then 3 hours after work... I've already leveled up again -.-' I swear, more than half the time I spin the piece I need isn't even there.

Same here. It's getting harder now to get the last piece for 2nd stage, but atleast my last piece is only worth 75gems.

When Kairos first came out, 6 hours rule was predicted. but after the update yesterday, the rule changed, no more cool down period but maybe the probability to land the last piece is lowered just like the way to get Epic dragons. You have to try over and over again.

I'm stuck on needing the last piece in stage one and it's killing me! It costs 300 gems and I've only got 321. That seems like a waste but I'm seriously thinking about it!

I've raced and raced and raced today. I just said to My husband, this is definitely my last race for the day. I have lost count today but well over 200 races. Lots of second spins, a few gems and lots of xp's. Unbelievable, just got my last fragment needed for level one. So, it's stage 2 for me now. And you know what. What was going to be my very last race for the day has now gone out the window! I've decided to keep trying for stage two. This time I am going to count how many spins it takes to complete level 2.

I'm doing 50 spins in one setting. Just completed spin number 50 in level 2. Funny, in the first 11 spins I got 3 gold fragments, the next 39 spins gave me coins, xp's and gems. At least I'm off the mark!

Someone from Dragon Vale Wiki said something about getting all Perfects in the race to get a fragment. Could the quality of the race not the quantity of races be the key?

This could be! I've had higher chances with pieces when I get more perfects.. But *sighs* I suck at it for the most part LOL

I'm not sure how it works. I think it comes back to sheer luck. I just did 30 straight races and in most of them I got first place. I didn't get one extra piece that I needed, however, I did get 7 extra spins. I do like these as they yield high xp's. I'm close to finishing level 36 as a result. But, if I had the choice to advance to the next level or get more fragments, I'd love more fragments. So for me, that's a total of 80 spins now, and only 3 gold fragments in the second level.

As I have looked at people's islands, it always the same that have maxed out to level 40 and have the dragon already. Ive got to say, it looks both huge and magnificent. To those who have the first piece and have got through the first round and are still on level 35, with little bar movement, clearly they have bought the pieces! I wish backflip would leave us all on the same playing field. It would have been good to have worked towards this magnificent dragon without the option of using gems to speed up the process as those with JB devices win once again!
