Does anyone know if the SLAG dragon is still available to get? And if so, what combo would be best to try?

Yes. It's called scoria dragon now because some people use it as a bad word in britain.

Earth + Metal Is a good combo.

BFS has changed Slag dragon's name.. Now it called Scoria.. To get Scoria, you can simply put Earth + Metal combo.. Hope it helps 
