Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Don't we all? I'm a working girl and I have my iPhone with me all the time. It only takes a few seconds to collect coins and switch dragons when needed. When I get home in the evening I love to catch up on forum news. I'm on my lunch break now so I have my iPad at the ready! I check in just in case there is another combo listed for ruby .... I wish!

Actually, it does take a few minutes.. Hahahaha.. I need at least 5 minutes to collect coins, breed, hatch and look at what to do next

Not sure if anyone else has talked about this but I just noticed that if you have more than one gem dragon in a section of the island it says a shorter time. I only have 5 gem dragons total, has anyone else noticed this? I put my newly hatched ruby with the emerald dragon and it is telling me 3 days and some odd hours, now the other 3 says 6 days. I was moving them around earlier since I just collected them and when I had 3 in one habitat it said 2 days I do believe. So does that really mean once you have 12 dragons on the island you can collect every 2 days?

Having two gemstone dragons in one habitat reduces the timer by 1/2.
For example, if you have two dragons with earning rates of 1gem per week were in the same habitat, there would be 1gem that could be received at 3.5 days. If you have three that could be 1gem every 2.33 days. But you can wait until it reach max capacity of 3gems before collecting it, i'm doing that, it makes me feel i received lots of gems.

I forgot to say my ruby dragon came with the name Esmeralda. I LOVE IT!!! I think she is my favorite so far even though my birth stone is emerald. She is my fav!! Couldn't of picked a better name for her.

I name my malachite dragon HULK, because he's a green monster, and the description has lots of common with the hulk....

Hey Frenzzz, got my 2nd Rainbow, 2nd & 3rd Pollens yesterday..
Still trying hard for Malachite.. Hope i get them soon, so that i could finish off the shrine grind and decorate my park..
I only have a single Metal. I'm trying with Metal x Willow in the EBS and Chrome x Willow in the EBC.. Do you guys think that i should try some other combo??
Been getting a lot of Willows, Chromes and a couple of Pollens..

Try metal+cactus, the fail is cactus(30mins), magnetic(4hrs) and copper(20hrs). But i have not tried it yet. i only use metal+evergreen, got it on 1st try, didn't try for 2nd.

Thanks Superman.. I indeed tried with Metal x Cactus day b4 yday and got a 20Hr Copper 1st try.. Got demotivated by the long fail time and stopped trying that..
Am afraid to try Metal x Evergreen as well for the long fail time in Steel.. Wondering whether to stick with Metal x Willow or Metal x Pollen (typed Pillow instead of Pollen first, LOL..).. What say??

Well you get your gift from your friends list if you got to your friends list it will say give gift to a friend, you get three free a day.​

Or you can gift 6 a day if you own the Dragonsai Gifting Tree.. And inturn, can get more as well..
More the friends, more the merrier.. upto some comfortable limit though..

Sigh, huge sigh - another forge ( I think that's 5 now) another firework that will make 16, 2 rainbow and countless others. No ruby in sight. If you are reading this backflip, please take firework out of the market.

I've done a quick sweep of 40 friends picking up party hats - not too many ruby dragons out there. I see a lot of firework eggs waiting to hatch. It's really frustrating and disappointing

Yeah this is the 1st gemstone i'm struggling to get an egg display. I wish no more SIGH for you, only SIGHT of a ruby.

I had a look at all the options and decided that the willow/pollen is the best option. After i got a forge from a flower metal. Sure the short fails are good from cactus or flower but I'm beginning to dislike copper and forge almost as much as crystal

Well I haven't as many forges, yet! But I'm beating you in the Fireworks dept, 20 no less, but I do have a new Chrome in the EPI which I will be havin a go with tomorrow, hope we get our Ruby on the same day. Like Tomorrow would be good.
