If you read the sun stones description i think they giving us a hint for upcoming seasonal dragon:

"The wizards have finally found a way to replicate the magic of the Ancient Sun Stones of Surya. Although the Sun Stones' true power remain a mystery, twice a year when solstice dragons are near, the Sun Stones light up. Make sure to look to the sky the actual day of the solstice; the Sun Stones briefly beam magic high into the heavens."

- Soltice is either of the two times in the year, the summer solstice and the winter solstice. Summer Solstice is during the sun is farthest north of equator, about June 21st. And Winter Solstice is during the sun is farthest south of equator, about December 22nd.

"Make sure to look to the sky the actual day of the solstice"
-So maybe they will release Summer Solstice Dragon this June 21st.

Lets just wait the Sun Stones to beam.

Wonder what combo would make a solstice dragon. A three way maybe, fire air plant?

Maybe the same combo to breed a sun, and it will just look like sun but different color, just like LYD, same as rainbow but diff color. and the bad thing about this, summer or winter solstice is just 1day like leap year. So it will comes just few days before the solstice and gone quickly as LYD. So better save gems now.

Yeah the leap year is the one dragon I really wish I had, it's pretty! I only had 1 day and got a rainbow (or was it sun?) instead which put my cave out of action.

Proof it IS POSSIBLE. I woke up in the middle of the night and the EBI was clear so I took a shot and got 30 hours. After at least 40 tries. Don't give up on any dragon you want, just persevere.

Nope, you can't breed them together to create more, so unlike normal dragons there is no advantage to having a pair. The only advantage is generating more gems... Since the gem dragon habitat is limited in spaces, if you fill it up now, you are going to have to sacrafice gem dragons at some point in the future if you want the full set...
You need to breed all the ones you want from the correct breding pair of element dragons during the month they are active...

Thank you. But it is good to have pairs ,if I can get another pearl to add my gems up quicker then sell one later? I see it can hold up to twelve and I came in to late for emerald.

It's only 1gem per week when you level up your gemstone dragon to level10(max). its just too small amount. So i always put my 2nd on display, if i got 3rd then hatch it. And i made it a goal to collect every rare and limited dragon eggs.

Does the epic breeding island come with a BC so I would have 2 places to breed or is it just somewhere to put the existing BC, in which case what is the purpose of it besides speeding things up?

Yes, it's two places to breed dragons, so you can be breeding two pairs of dragons to get two new eggs at any one time.

The Island / Sanctuary has a slightly better chance of breeding rare dragons than the cave does apparently, although nobody knows the exact statistics for sure!

Many folks breed dragons for money using the cave (Rust is probably the best one, since it breeds quickly and sells for 1.65 million!), and keep the Island / Sanctuary for breeding the actual dragons they want for their collection... But that said, it's perfectly possible to get rares in the Cave as well!
