1475 gems to buy a Pearl??? That is ridiculous! So somebody that fails to get this dragon after trying for it lets say 100 times, and is really into this game has to pay $50 to get it? The prices to buy these eggs are WAY overpriced in my opinion. This game is supposed to be fun - I'm sorry but its not fun when you breed 50 times and still no Pearl. I could see MAYBE $10 at most to buy a Pearl - its just not fair to the hardcore Dragonvale players that put alot of money into the game, only to come up short on a rare dragon, and then when they want to get a Pearl in order to complete their collection they need to hand over $50 - OUCH!

Backflip Studios should really consider dropping the prices of eggs to more reasonable levels. I know they were cool about changing the amount of gems needed to upgrade the Breeding Caves, and I do appreciate that. However, there are still some things in this game, including the eggs where the number of gems needed to purchase should be seriously reconsidered...Does anybody have the e-mail to get hold of Backflip?

Sorry for the rant everyone but this is my opinion and I'm sure that others, especially people who missed out on the Emerald will agree with me. I know others have bred 2 types of dragons together 50+ times with no luck but come on - what happened to this 10% chance I was told of? I needed to vent to somebody and I promise I will keep these type of posts to a bare minimum - but 50 tries and still nothing, I'm starting to wonder if there is a glitch here...

You still have a couple of weeks to try. I had a min of 50 tries before getting my pearl. And you don't " have" to buy it. Probably the price is so high so you will keep trying to breed it.

Yes so you can breed each other. But in this case, not. You can not breed gemstone dragon with any dragon even by another gemstone dragon.

Yes but it is the quest to get it I got it keep trying .... I haven't bought anything well just the EBC and that's it all other is patients I have only started end of April. When did this game actually start? Someone in another form said he has been in it 3 years. I mean if you want to spend money you do but not I well no yet :-d

quickest way for money? so I can fund my feeding ?

Quickest way to earn lot of money is breeding Iron Dragon or Magnetic Dragon because they both require only four hours to incubate and they both sell for 1,150,000, but Magnetic give more XP.

For advance player they use Panlong Strategy, fill up your island with full of Panlong in Earth Habitat with Fire and Water Boost, 1panlong will generate 540DC/min, higher than rainbow.

I know I still have a few weeks left and I understand that I don't "have" to buy it. I'm just getting frustrated how tough it is to get the Pearl I guess. Like I said in my original post about this, I am not going to continue with negative posts and complain about this anymore - I just feel some of the prices are unfair for those who would like to get EVERY rare dragon and fail to breed certain ones.

Believe me, from now until the end of the month I will breed as much as possible to try and get the Pearl. I will also stay positive because I don't want to bring anybody else in this forum down. I just don't want to think about how i would feel if I spent a months worth of effort and didn't get it ;(

FUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was a 3rd rainbow -____- not a sun dragon.

Try breeding Flower / Storm OR Crystal / Lichen. I have 3 Sun dragons and those are 2 of the combos that got me a sun. The 3rd one I forgot to write down. Good luck!

Lol it's not negative just venting I was about to give up then BAM! I got so frustrated that I started using both my BC and that is when it appeared. I figure the others are going to be there so why not focus on this one. Keep on using that Magic Finger it will come. Besides they made it this way for people to spend money. :-D

Thank you for giving me hope! I actually have been using both Breeding Caves for awhile now... It has to be coming soon - I'm going to the gym now and when I get back I am breeding a dang Pearl!

We all have or are having those frustrated moment Eric. A good workout at the gym will help you lift your spirits. I've gotten some of the really tough limited dragons on the last day they were available. Chin up. You'll get one!

Hey sunfresh, have you thought about getting your metal dragons up first to silver? I was faced with a similar situation and quickly got me metal up to silver so that I could then work on metal and other combos that needed to be bred. Nothing worse than having all gold and then have to work on 50 metal dragons for gold too. From memory, there is no Metal and plant dragon, but all the others are covered.

Ya, point taken.. I need space to keep all my metal hybrids.. The storage is running out of space soon.. Hahahahah!!!

They updated the look of the pearl egg as well.

Also in the sun stones description it talks about solstice dragons. Maybe it's a new dragon or it may be referring to the sun dragon?
