Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I do not have boosts because I could never get every dragon in the green (positive) so I just gave up, but if you read the description of each boost, it will tell you which dragons it will affect negatively or positively, if anybody else understands the boosts feel free to jump in and help out

Boosts effect all the dragons on the Island where you put the boost building. They really are of optimal use if you are going to dedicate an island to gold production. If you are going to mix and match your dragons and habitats "for looks" then they are probably best either ignored altogether, or ignored from the point of view of what negative effect they are having on your dragons. The negative effect is actually not too great, so unless you are devoted to getting the maximum gold production, you can ignore boosts to one degree or another.

You said this better than I did. I would add that if you dedicate an island withou habitats that you use for breeding, food production, hatching and shrine display, then you can store your boosts there till you need them or can make best use of them. The plant boost, is the most useless because the plant habitat fills in seconds anyway, lightning runs a close second.

I have a metal, and cold boost and watch what dragons go where. When I pull specific dragons out of hibernation to breed i have to remember to put them back else they sit and run negatives.

Is there a trick to getting the copper dragon other than using just metal and lightning? I've been trying for my pearl and no luck yet either. Still waiting my for first sun dragon to hatch - its been taking up too much space in my hatchery! I still only have two spots because I don't have the gems to upgrade. Happy dragon breeding everyone!

I was trying to get a different dragon and kept getting copper. I'll send one you way!

For copper, you could try the following:
Brass / Cactus
Metal / Lightning
Water / Magnetic

If I get a catch, I'll post it. Only one combination confirmed, but I'm guessing there must be others, right????? Worth a go, it's only early days.

Pfffff no pearl for me either yet.
All I get is 9 or 8 hour eggs.... Breeding op the epic breeding island and breeding cave at the same time, guess I have to be a little more patient hehehe

My only advice is keep trying. I had tried snow + seaweed many times through both the breeding cave and island and got my first pearl this morning. I figure it is like pulling a card from a deck, it will take a while, but if you keep trying you will eventually draw the card you are wanting.

I can't get the pearl or forge dragons lol for the pearl it's always a 8 hour waiting time and for the forge dragon I always get a 5 hour waiting time are there any other combination to these two

I just read the last few pages in the forums and am simply amazed at the audacity some people have. If you buy the brand new gadget and the price lowers two weeks later, you do not go ask for a refund. No one put a gun to your head and made you buy it. You might play the system by returning the item and buying a new one at the lower price.... but then it's your morals that are messed up, not the business.

Do they lower prices to get us to buy more?? Absolutely! It's a business, duh!

If you want charity go play one of those sucky completely free games. The bottom line is that our purchases fund the expansions and upgrades, and the game will be dropped if it doesn't make money.

I used fire and brass to get my forge dragon and unfortunately the only combo for pearl seems to be seaweed and snow or snow and seaweed. Good luck!

I think it is nice not to have 24 hrs or 48 hrs failed attempts.

It was annoying then.... But there was at least a.little difference.....this seeing 8 constantly is kinda boring....
