I just want to share this blog by Jrocket97 for those who felt the price drop in EPI and BC upgrade is unfair for those have purchased it at intro price and want a refund, but i'm not attacking anyone here, as i know no one is complaining here, unlike other DV forum.

This goes out to all of the people moaning and groaning (I want to say something else here, but I'd get banned for abusive language) about the changes in price for the EBC and the EBS. We all agree they were overpriced before. We complained, and backflip listened, and dropped the price. So, a lot of people that bought it before the drop are whining about how they paid too many gems and blah blah blah. I've seen comments calling backflip studios "Greedy Scum." Let's take a moment to define Greed.

Greed: An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves.

Now, what seems contradictory here? If BFS was greedy, the prices would have been RAISED, so they could get MORE. They were LOWERED in response to complaint. That does not make them greedy. If you want Greedy Scum, go bug Team Lava.

And now let's look at the standpoint of people who bought before the price drop. In real life, when things are new, they cost more. As demand decreases, so does the price. Basically, backflip discounted the purchase of the enhanced breeding areas. Like a real life discount. I bought the EBC for 600 gems, and I'm not complaining. If I was willing to buy it at that price at the time, then I can't ask for a refund. If you buy and iPod, and a week later, the price goes down, do you barge into the store and demand a refund? NO. So why do that here? You were willing to buy it at that price before. Besides, if you like Dragonvale, you should be happy to support the game with your money. I know I am.

IMO its poor business practice. I think BFS should refund the difference in gems to those gamers who devices are not altered. It does not affect BFS bottom line by reloading gems into those individual accounts. It's more about the principal here.

I can not agree in every point with this. I don't want to "moaning and groaning", but there are some points you can't ignore:
- In my Eyes BFS is not greedy, but they lower the price because they want more people to buy them. Obviously ther were not many player willing to pay that much (i did), so they cange the Strategy. Sell 10 EBS for 1250 gems or sell 100 for 225, do the math. I think they didn't lower the price for helping us, but for selling more.
But of course they have to win money, they make the game we all love!
- if you buy a brand new IPod the Day come on the market, and some weeks later the price is lowerd by 80%, every single one of us will standing in the store again in no time and demand a refund! It is simply not the way you treat customers if you want to be credible in any way...

As i said i don't blaim BFS for earning money, but it would be a great signal to all the player who were willing to spend a lot of gems if BFS will give some of the 1400 "waisted" gems back.
I don't curse them for lowering the price, i was willing to pay that much for it, it was a decision i made then and the money is gone, doesn't matter how deep the price will fall.
So, but now: back to breeding!!!

Exactly....before I even put them in the breeding cave I know I'm gonna end up with a 8 or 9 hrs dragon....at least with emerald there more diversities like 6 hrs 8 hrs or 24 hrs or even 48 hrs....

I think it is nice not to have 24 hrs or 48 hrs failed attempts.

Sorry this is a little off topic but, I was searching for an i-pad case on google and clicked on a forum link and was reading the comments on there. When I would click on some of the links (that posters put in there to take me directly to view the case they were talking about) it would not take me to a webpage but rather completely close google down and make me re-open google each time. Basically seemed like bug, like as soon as I clicked on it it kicked me out of google. Has anybody else ever experienced this and should I be worried about it??

Does time only count when you are actually playing DV cos I have an Air that has taken over 4 hours & still counting to hatch, I am sure that all the others have hatched within the time frame wether my iPad was being used or asleep.

Ugh no luck with the Pearl all I get is 8 or 9 hours, I know it's still early but I am frustrated with breeding! I can't even get the darn Forge!!!!

On a side note I got the dreaded 'and others' on who gifted me gems today...

Hey Michael *waves* ... Your post made me feel a little sad so I thought I'd pop in and say hello Hope you're doing well in DV and good luck with Pearl. I'm still trying too, but at least we have a whole month to try. On a happy note, I managed to get all my shrines to Gold a couple of days ago I still think your puppy is the most adorable thing ever!!!

Yes that is what I meant. I do have boosts. I need to place them next to the type?

I do not have boosts because I could never get every dragon in the green (positive) so I just gave up, but if you read the description of each boost, it will tell you which dragons it will affect negatively or positively, if anybody else understands the boosts feel free to jump in and help out
