Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

I have a question about gems/game center. Three times I have received gems from a person who is not on my friends list. I appreciate these gems, but feel badly that I cannot return the favor. Sent a friend request to the name that popped up with the gem, but no response. Can this be a glitch where they think they are sending gems to someone else and it comes to me by mistake? Anyone else have this happen?

I have had the same thing happening for a while and think we have sorted it out. Found out two days ago that the mysterious gem sender was my brother in law. Sister rang to ask why I did not return them. Turns out he was not using game centre, but all his friends who used DV that where on Facebook where on his list, including me. But seems I could not see him as I was logging into DV through GC.

So he signed into GC and added me and now he is on the list.

Not sure why this is so, but I can at least see him now and return gems.

This is stunningly bad news! I guess you would really hate me if I told you I got a Frostfire the very first time breeding cold/firefly. Had no idea what an amazing outcome that was, but now see it was beyond lucky.

I know I'm in love with dragon vale when I can't stop checking and sweeping for coins. Yesterday our wild cat bit my hand while I was trying to put it into a box to bring to humane society. Dumb!!! Now my hand is the size of a blown up rubber glove and I'm still trying to get my coins - ouch, ouch ouch .....but I got my coins so it's all good!!! Lol!

Earth was the new Colosseum event for me today. Though my son got Metal.

And I hit Level 29 this morning after I hatched my 4 metal dragons. You certainly earn XP fast breeding these guys for cash.

Nice! You were able to take advantage of all your XP. It's been killing me seeing all those points going to waste into thin air. I really was hoping that BFS was going to include level increases as well as additional habitats in this last update. Congrats!

Bittersweet...but Congrats!

If you really don't need another island, your thought to hold off is right on. That cash will come in handy. Things get really expensive feeding to level 15. I never seem to have enough money...just like in real life...huh?

But the bad part is if you use that money for food and then u need the island it will take that much longer to get it... My motto you have spend it.... You will have time to collect more while it is being built and then cleared... And then after that buy food bc there is not another island to buy...

I beg to differ, I have been playing since dragonvale came out ( and I have all the seasonals to prove it ) and I don't have moon or even all the silver shrines yet!

I've been at level 30 for what seems like forever...and still haven't had the need for more island room. If I do, it will always be there to purchase later. It's not like they're going to remove it from the menu. It all depends on how many rares you have, and how crazy you go with decorations.
