Now that I've learned how to make pictures on the iPad (thank you dragonvalians!) I'd like to take you on a tour around my islands :)
So buckle up 'cause we're flying straight to the capital of the archipelos, Draconia City:

Draconia city has become very touristic lately. Originally the home of the dragon tamers, many wizards have decided to make Draconia city their home. After all, it is the perfect place to learn about dragon lore, either from observation or from the dragon keepers (if you can get a hold of them, they are very busy!). The city expresses it's grandeur with their mascots, the rare sun, moon and rainbow dragons.
Indeed the city attracts all kind of folks! Plenty tourists come to visit the city and the exciting colloseum. Many spend a couple of nights at the Inn.

Of course, where plenty of people gather there will be diverse forms of worship. Those who adore nature above everything go to the shrine of Thornbark in the city park and offer a prayer to him. The shrine of Zector attracts those who wish to offer a prayer of safety and prosperity for their home and family. The shrine of Kimzar the White is the most popular of the lot. All citizens of Draconia city will occasionaly turn to Kimzar to thank him and wish for peaceful times ahead. The shrine of Slameg the Singer attracts many artists from all over the world in hopes to make it big in the city. If you are in Draconia city you should visit this shrine, there's always something to see!

Then there's the shrine of Razzak, reminding the people of the city that pride will be anyone's downfall. An interesting fact is that the construction of this shrine has caused the worshippers of Freecha to abandon the city in an outrage. This immigration has caused the founding of the rural town of Ayr, where Freecha is revered as the only elder dragon worthy of our respect. Dispite their differences in the past, relations between Draconia city and Ayr are strong these days. Ayr provides the full amount of nourishment the city needs to flourish while Draconia city provides any service the town might need, including the maintainance of the air habitats in Ayr and the care of these dragons (the air dragon tamer still lives in the city).

Finally there's the shrine of the unknown fire dragon, attracting those who seek power. Generally this belief is practiced in secret for the main population of Draconia city looks down on these practises for they will only bring disaster. It is believed that the name of the fire dragon has been lost to time for a reason.

The more observing amongst you will have noticed the lack of a shrine of Kessi. While originally part of Draconia city, the council has decided to donate the shrine to the island of Lemuria. More of that when we visit Lemuria.

That concludes the tour of Draconia city, in our next post we'll be visiting the soothing island of Lemuria and the calm town of Ayr.

Brilliant!!!

Cute! Very imaginative, espeially wirh all rhe different shrines and the politics, and the relationships between cities. That's really neat. I really like the flags next to the houses. I like the layout because it really does look like a little city. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to the island of Lemuria:
Neat! I like the rationale behind so many Panlongs! It's a great idea. And the shrine in the middle with the ponds on either side looks great. The whole island, with the pagodas and cactuses and everythinf, is nicely color-coordinated. That's a similar look to what I want to get when I do my eastern-ish island. I love all those decorations together. Definitely a nice job on layout and decoration. And the part about the Panlongs getting nicer because of the shrine is a neat idea.

So I forgot to mention earlier ..... My son is now the proud owner of his first moon the only dragon he didn't have yet he was so made up this morning lol ,it was bred at 5.35 am so I too am now a firm believer of the day/ night theory I had my suspicions along time ago as nearly all of my suns and were bred in the day and moons in the night Barr one unusual one where I bred a sun at night ...glitch.... Maybe x x x

Next to the island of Lemuria lies the town of Ayr:
I think I like this description best. The constant warm breeze is a neat idea, makes me think of Nausicaa. Goes great with the air habitats and the windmills, really nicely put together. I like the natural terrain, goes well with the rural setting and all the farms plus the thatched roof cottages. I also like how not all your farms are upgraded, but you have the variety. Also like the background info with the inhabitants' history. Really neat. You should email these to BFS. I'm sure they'd be delighted to see the imagination people are using on their game!
