Well, isn't this a pretty picture!

Mind you I got a moon when trying for my second Frostfire, which continues to elude me. Have decide to stop trying and concentrate on breeding irons for cash for food.

Hey simon! Just letting you know i am planning on returning the gems you have sent me. My list is just really long :) but you're on there and the gems are muchly appreciated :)

I hate to say this, but we need new updates. Back to grind again, breeding mags and iron, feeding to level 15.

Speak for yourself. I've got 11 minutes until my 2nd Large Metal Habitat is ready. Then I can think about selling off another Cold, building another Large Metal and breeding and feeding 4 more Mags up to Level 15. That's another 2 days at least if only one of my caves is breeding for money. I've got another couple of weeks before I've swapped out most of my cold habitats for Metal, moved my Lightning/Sun/LYD and swapped my Yellow Maze Island for a Blue one.

And I think during that time there'll be April Fools or Easter Dragon fun to put my schedule back a bit.

Did we actually have an update for the LYD? I can't remember if we got an official update or if the dragon just appeared. Can they even do that without an update? Is it possible to have something written in the code that remains hidden until a certain date?

I believe we had one before the LYD, but not directly before, so it was lying dormant. That's how people found mention of it in the code, I think because it was a Rare/Epic Dragon. We definitely didn't have one before the Clover Dragon, which appeared the same night the LYD disappeared.

The Dragons are all run server side at BFS, so they can turn them on and off as they see fit, along with decorations and anything else that appears in the Market.

It's Monster City. No offense to the developers, but it is not only a shameless rip-off of DV, it's also a horrible rip-off of DV. Wow, wow, wow, that's awful.

And, please, oh please, someone get that song out of my head! Ooh, the horror! Oh, kill me now, wow. I want to leave the app open all day and all night just to hear that evil ditty and curl up in the corner biting the heads off of gummy bears and marshmallow peeps! Somebody, please, send help ...

... Think I'm scarred for life ... The horror of it all ...

... help

meeeee ...
What's a marshmallow peep????? Mmmm, marshmallow .....

Thats my list after I just gemmed the people it's a nightmare, if I haven't added someone who's gifted me on here to the list please tell me, sometimes it says "and others" and I don't know how to find out :(
That's actually what I'd call a 'good' list. Mine has blown out to about 17-20 days (you're in there) so you are doing well. I think mine is also short compared to some. Thank you to some of my new gifters from the forum (and maybe some lurkers), I will return as soon as I can - you haven't been forgotten :)

Woohoo!! Go my organization :P keeping lists for my brother and sister is becoming stressful especially when. You're sister is 10 and it's twin (spoilt brats) they always complain and want to send gems to the people with the coolest name haha "as a reward" so I have to go on there iPads at gem o'clock and tell them I'm sending it to the cool named people :P

Now that I've learned how to make pictures on the iPad (thank you dragonvalians!) I'd like to take you on a tour around my islands :)
So buckle up 'cause we're flying straight to the capital of the archipelos, Draconia City:
9bc47df6.webp
Draconia city has become very touristic lately. Originally the home of the dragon tamers, many wizards have decided to make Draconia city their home. After all, it is the perfect place to learn about dragon lore, either from observation or from the dragon keepers (if you can get a hold of them, they are very busy!). The city expresses it's grandeur with their mascots, the rare sun, moon and rainbow dragons.
Indeed the city attracts all kind of folks! Plenty tourists come to visit the city and the exciting colloseum. Many spend a couple of nights at the Inn.

Of course, where plenty of people gather there will be diverse forms of worship. Those who adore nature above everything go to the shrine of Thornbark in the city park and offer a prayer to him. The shrine of Zector attracts those who wish to offer a prayer of safety and prosperity for their home and family. The shrine of Kimzar the White is the most popular of the lot. All citizens of Draconia city will occasionaly turn to Kimzar to thank him and wish for peaceful times ahead. The shrine of Slameg the Singer attracts many artists from all over the world in hopes to make it big in the city. If you are in Draconia city you should visit this shrine, there's always something to see!

Then there's the shrine of Razzak, reminding the people of the city that pride will be anyone's downfall. An interesting fact is that the construction of this shrine has caused the worshippers of Freecha to abandon the city in an outrage. This immigration has caused the founding of the rural town of Ayr, where Freecha is revered as the only elder dragon worthy of our respect. Dispite their differences in the past, relations between Draconia city and Ayr are strong these days. Ayr provides the full amount of nourishment the city needs to flourish while Draconia city provides any service the town might need, including the maintainance of the air habitats in Ayr and the care of these dragons (the air dragon tamer still lives in the city).

Finally there's the shrine of the unknown fire dragon, attracting those who seek power. Generally this belief is practiced in secret for the main population of Draconia city looks down on these practises for they will only bring disaster. It is believed that the name of the fire dragon has been lost to time for a reason.

The more observing amongst you will have noticed the lack of a shrine of Kessi. While originally part of Draconia city, the council has decided to donate the shrine to the island of Lemuria. More of that when we visit Lemuria.

That concludes the tour of Draconia city, in our next post we'll be visiting the soothing island of Lemuria and the calm town of Ayr.

Welcome to the island of Lemuria:
6e0e845f.webp
The island of Lemuria has been long known as the most succesful breeding facility in the world. It has been the subject of many studies and wizards have concluded that the success of Lemuria lies in the peaceful tranquility the island exudes. Indeed, there is no known dragon species that has not been succesfully bred on this island. The island has become the provider of many dragon parks all over the world and built it's reputation with the healthy specimens it provides.

However, as of 2012 the island has drastically reduced it's activities in order to start a repopulation project: the majestic Panlong dragon. In the wild this dragon has gone almost extinct and what's worse they are very difficult to breed! For this huge project the island has attracted the most experienced water and fire sage and a community of the Panlong district of Yunnan, devoted to the study of this grand dragon. These efforts have caused great successes with over 40 Panlongs born so far!

However, with this much water on the island there have been quite a few unfortunate accidents... Because Lemuria is a great asset to Draconia city, the council has decided to donate the shrine of Kessi to the island. Strangely, ever since the shrine was put on Lemurian soil, the behavior of the Panlongs has shifted to a far kinder range. Actually since the shrine of Kessi was placed in Lemuria, not a single Lemurian has "gotten lost". Of course this has caused the Lemurians to become devout followers of the elder dragon Kessi. In fact, every so often a Lemurian will claim to have seen Kessi in one of the lakes. Unfortunately such a sighting has never been confirmed...

Next to the island of Lemuria lies the town of Ayr:
e05388b8.webp
As told before, the inhabitants of Ayr used to be citizens of Draconia city, until the shrine of Razzak was built that is. The inhabitants of Ayr all have distant roots in Verulos, a land terrorised by Razzak in times long past. It's thanks to the elder dragon Freecha that the people of Verulos had found peace and they never forgot the bravery of the dragon. The Ayrians have a small rural community focussed on the benefits of the wind. The island of Ayr has seemingly been blessed by Freecha to have a constant warm breeze, enabling the Ayrians to farm all year long with great harvests.

Every year, in the month of October, the Ayrians hold a great harvest party in which a lucky townsperson may offer a tribute to the holy statue of Freecha. It is the greatest honour any Ayrian can have.
These days though many young Ayrians feel the call of the big city to get out of the calm slow life in Ayr, but it's highly unlikely that Ayr will ever lose it's great traditions.
