I think it was the pressure to get one quickly. DV Wiki said clearly that you can only breed one and buy others. I refuse to pay the price, much as I love the game. Retirees can't afford over $100 a dragon. But I did succumb and purchase gems to speed up breeding process when I discovered there'd be no opportunity after today. finally, going back to good old mud/blazing, I seem to have one. At least it's 14.5 hours.

Whether we compete, even subtly against each other, or are motivated by need to achieve or lust for rare dragon, I am learning that I can't compare what I can do without resources to purchase a lot with the breeding rates and achievements of those who can.

Since I have grandchildren playing who are young, and downloads for the game canbe a stretch on family resources, I am aware there'll be youngsters on the forum who may be tempted way beyond their means trying to keep up.

For 10 years, I lived in the same apartment complex as a game designer who created a best selling app. He sold millions at $1.20 and got 70 cent per gem rom Apple.

Made him for life. DV is far more complex than has game, with a far bigger team, and it free. Nevertheless, even regular small purchases must be returning a generous income. As this whole year is a Leap Year, I think the dragon should have been available for a longer period.

I collected hats on your islands, and I have to wonder. . .you had two hatched LYD and 4 LYD eggs in your hatchery. How could that be. It just does not add up. I could see, one LYD mixed with other eggs, but 4. Plus I did not see any dragons breeding in either BC. if you are in a hunt for these dragons, I can't imagine having one vacant BC, but two. I don't want to hear an explanation, but what I saw does not add up.

Not much adds up at all when looking at those islands hunny x

Agreed!!!, I've said many times those two are the DV legends they play proper ( no cheating) and have everything because they have played since the very beginning and so what if ppl buy gems!!!! once again I'm going to say BFS deserve some money for making this fab game for us to play x x x

I have been playing since the beginning too! Except for the fact that I am going hardcore. I am not buying any gems at all. It is my oath to try to get a bunch of good things without actually spending money on the game. I rely on my good friends and my colluseum for gems. So I have about as much knowledge as they do but less gems.

I think we all need to relax and first remember this is a game. If someone was able to breed more than one of the new dragons, congratulations. If not then keep trying. It is the luck of the draw.
Second, I joined this forum, for help (which I have received plenty of) and friendship (again received plenty of). Let's not turn this into a place of complaints and bickering amongst ourselves.

Just my thoughts.

Plus maybe it was a glitch for the some that breed 2. just like some ppl were saying they had 14hr breeding times but only half hr incubation times for there lyd it could of been a glitch u never know. But I do love this forumn it does help alot but im about to unsubcribe it if im gonna keep getting called out by people on the forumn by even things with the simplest explanations like the 4 gold eggs in my hatchery

And I think it's a bit unfair to post comments on a public forum aimed at a specific member and then ask them not to reply or explain.

Im sorry fletch but I think she is completely right everyone knows how we all feel about what he is doing and I don't care how much he denies it I know he's lying and it's getting me annoyed every time I see a BS reply or post from him and I'm sure I'm not alone and I'm sorry if anyone feels I am wrong but I can't not say anything at all anymore and if this is against rules again I'm sorry x x x

Has anybody besides skaterboy gotten a second lyd???? I haven't...

Here is my story: last night I bred lyd number one on first try with love and cold. Saw the march 1st message when i logged on today, freaked, used my last 30 gems breeding love and cold and love and snow with nothing. Bought the roughly 125 bag of gems (forget the exact number) spent them ALL, and now have both caves tied up with 48hours. Ugh! Never thought I'd be complaining about 48h but now there is virtually no way to get my second lyd unless I buy even more gems. I'm drawing the line!

Oh nooo I feel for you but I don't think many ppl have got a second!!! anyway keep trying tho I'm going to lol x x x

It's the addiction factor. It may be bright and pretty but most of us crossed a line long ago and spend an embarrassing amount of time doing what really amounts to nothing but collecting magic beans. As with any addiction it always turns ugly at some point. I'm almost there myself. My iPad is my favorite toy yet it is also the bane of my existence. Maybe it's time to step outside and rearrange the real yard or walk a real dog or feel the raindrops hit your face as they fall from a real sky that lacks colorful dragons. No gems necessary. I know, this sounds profane but it's been eating at me for a bit now.
