Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

When I first got the EBI, I thought "now I can get the rare dragons! Awesome" I was wrong. Whenever I try a working combo for rares on it, I get an 8 hour time. This has happened many times, and I am annoyed.

However...

My breeding cave is my good luck charm. I got my panlong and my rainbow in it, and on the first try with love and iceberg, I got 48 hours. Weird huh?

Yeah it is pretty weird... But it's disappointing... :/ But I will get it eventually, I'm determined. XD

Panlong x 37
Reindeer x 41
Water x 36

This has only 114 dragons to get all my shrines to gold, but the panlongs take 36 hrs! My second option is:

Love x 42
Sandstorm x 37
Iceberg x 41

There are 120 dragons going this way, but the breed times are shorter.

What ya's think?

I think the Love, Sandstorm, and Iceberg would work the best. I think that because first off there is only 6 more dragons but a lot of less wait time. Also, I'm pretty sure that the Panlong has a longer wait time on it's own then all three of the others put together.

One thing I didn't think of though.... What are you planning on doing with the dragons after you've leveled them up?

I would say that the love, sand storm and iceberg combo work best to achieve gold. However, I felt that they are not the cash generator that helps to buy more food. Unless you are planning to use cash to buy food, otherwise, lots of gold coins are needed to buy the food supplies.

Maybe should build the coin generating factory with full of panlongs and blue fire/ frost fire/ storm... I roughly learn these ideas from poppy.. And use the coins earned to buy more food to feed the love, sand and iceberg.

Lots of patience and lots of coins needed..

Panlongs are great in an Earth Habitat with a Fire and Water Boost.
Frost/Bluefires are great in a Cold Habitat with a Cold Boost.
Quakes are great in an Earth Habitat with an Earth and Lightning Boost.
Storms are great in a Cold Habitat with a Cold and Lightning Boost.

The other Habitats aren't worth worrying about too much because they don't hold that much, but

Swamps are great in a Water Habitat with a Water and Plant Boost.
Loves are great in a Fire Habitat with a Plant, Lightning AND Fire Boost.

That's the large capacity habitats with the top earners in them. GL!

Same here I put money makers in the island and all my rares have came out of the cave...

I see. I know what you mean. Breeding more 48 hours but sacrificing more habitats will be the situation if you wanna build lots of coins and food. Once you reach a certain amount of coins, you can start buying lots of food for your love, sand and iceberg how about that?

Or you can still breed panlongs but dun put the water and fire booster.. That will slow things down a little..

Hi everyone, been reading through the posts and you all seem like a great helpful bunch, so I decided to subscribe. Love Dragonvale, but terribly addicted, as I think most of us are. Doing well but still have yet to breed a pnlong or a frosbite. Any hints on possible combinations would be very greatly appreciated. Look forward to chatting to you

Hi and welcome to the forum and addiction! You have come to the right place!

Panlong and frostfire have been a real pain for a lot of people. I got my first two from keeping a blazing/mud from trying for panlong using a blazing/mud. I just kept one of each and finally after 50 tries I leveled them up to 10 and when I put them in I got the first one on the first try and the second on the forth try.

Frostfire took some tries for sure. First one came from cold/blazing. Second one came from cold/firefly.

Here is a list that 250strong put together of all the rares and it is updated regularly. Hope it helps! Good luck and I look forward to seeing you around! :thumbs:

You did upgrade all your dragons to level 15 already?
I am mostly at home and can collect the cash very often but found out that i can only level up from 14 to 15 about 2 maybe 3 a day. Each time i breed something special i first have to spare money/food to level up that one to its max. The other day i had 2 panlongs simultaneously, took me 2 days to bring them to 15. So i refrain from breeding rares, cannot afford it lol.
Also keep in mind, the next dragon to come out will for sure another be a mix of various element (3 i suppose) including Ice which is absent from the other combo dragons.
