Houses and flats here are extremely expensive. I bought mine 25 years ago, i would not be able to buy it now lol.
I live in a village on lake geneva and they call this region from geneva to near lausanne the Gold shore. Loads of millionnaires with huge mansions like Schumacher for ex.

Those are bicyclists viewing a herd of 40 elk right in the middle of town. These elk spend a lot of time behind my house, on the 13th hole of the golf course. It's an amazing place. If you like an active, physical outdoor lifestyle this is Eden.

We will have the "How to" posted in the OP of the new thread, and I would suggest having all competitors post one before hand so they know how to do it. Just above this box where I'm typing this there's a picture of a tree. Clicking on there gives you the options for posting a pic in a post, including uploading it from your computer/ipad/iphone. Taking a screen grab is a matter of pressing the Home Button and the Power Button at the same time.

I get to the file upload screen but the ' choose file' is grey. I can't post an image that my iPad has stored. Very frusterating.

Uuugh sorry to hear that GT. Are you in Orlando? I ask as my neighbor was transfer to Shanghai and they rent their home for vacationers. They get guest from all over as far as India. It's a 3 + and guest had stayed for 10k a month for the main house. They converted the basement to a studio and my sister stays there when she visits and it goes for $275 per day. It great if you have children, because you have a kitchen, washing facilities a home away from home. Just a thought.

It's tricky indeed, this economy. We want another house but don't want a loss so we may rent out this one and buy another low if we can swing it. Florida heat sounds delicious but I love wet green Oregon.

See, I hate living here (between LA and san Diego). The only thing that keeps me from bolting is the weather, the safety of this city and the great schools (yes, there are good schools in CA). But it is booooooring, and a photographers nightmare! Gotta get one more kiddo to college and then I'm out of here

Portland is comparable. I bit wetter but lovely and scads more affordable. (bay area transplant here)

No, no. The competition is over as soon as someone posts a pic of the correct breeding time in their cave/island. If it's Flower or Poison I expect it to be over in less than 60 seconds.

Ok, I revise my earlier statement, I know where I want to move. I've always tried to get my husband to move with me to Oregon, but he insists it's too wet for me. I told him not all places are like that, but I never really looked into it any further. How long's the flight to HI and out of which airport?

Here in Portland or its not the rain that can be difficult. It's not tragically rainy as much as it is grey. If you can make it for three years without imploding you are a duck! (evidently that is a ports team of some sort here toi)
