Uuugh sorry to hear that GT. Are you in Orlando? I ask as my neighbor was transfer to Shanghai and they rent their home for vacationers. They get guest from all over as far as India. It's a 3 + and guest had stayed for 10k a month for the main house. They converted the basement to a studio and my sister stays there when she visits and it goes for $275 per day. It great if you have children, because you have a kitchen, washing facilities a home away from home. Just a thought.

See, I hate living here (between LA and san Diego). The only thing that keeps me from bolting is the weather, the safety of this city and the great schools (yes, there are good schools in CA). But it is booooooring, and a photographers nightmare! Gotta get one more kiddo to college and then I'm out of here ;)

I don't get down to orange often anymore, but I always enjoyed how clean and spread out some of the areas are. It's a perfect place to raise a large family. I do love Carlsbad, it's a nice beach community. My son got an acceptance letter from UC irvine honor program. But his criteria is nothing in So.Cal is his preference. Sigh

No...in Naples. We could do a seasonal rental I'm sure and we have a couple other rentals. They go for big bucks here too. Our house actually would probably not do too bad for a seasonal. But it would only be during the winter so we would want to make sure it paid for the whole year. Wow! They have a basement on their house? We can't have any basements in Naples...with hurricanes it's not feasible...but we are also only about 3 miles from the ocean. Right...we have thought about it....and we are in a tourist trap...just not like Orlando. Naples is more where people come to retire and the wealthy flock for season.

I hear ya! The one nice thing is for here we are located nicely. 2 hrs to Ft lauderdale, Miami and Tampa. 3hrs to Orlando. So where are you bolting to? Lol

Hubby was 6yrs before he retires I wand to move to st. Croix..... Love it there and still us... Or panama

As a neighbor, I don't feel like it depreciate the neighborhood and we never have any issue. They block out the weeks when they are back in the states. A few weeks in the summer and Xmas. Some of the homes here do have a basement, we don't. Homes on the downslope side of the hill do.

Great your vacationers are grandparents providing a family vacation in Naples. I don't know the websites, I am sure you could google vacation home rentals in Naples. See what the market like.

You are so right. Fortunate I can shuffle with a minimum of expense. The Turbo Shuffle consists of: moving a Earth habitat from the Nursery Island to the CGCF Island, moving the babies to the HC, and moving the Pans from there to the habitat; moving the baby Rainbow from the Nursery Island to the Aloha Island and swapping the baby out for an adult; moving the babies into the HC from the Plant habitat into the HC, selling the habitat, buying a Rainbow habit for the Aloha Island and moving an adult Rainbow there from the HC; moving the Moon habitat with thebaby on it from the Nursery Island to the Cold Island and swapping the baby for an adult. And a couple of other things I don't recall at the moment. Anyway, I can do it in my sleep - and I might.

I just calculated I need $400,000,000 to bring all the level 12's in the HC to level 15. It really is like another gold shrine. Maybe I'll call it the Crazy Poppy Shrine. That really is a pretty appropriate shrine for me. :)

I don't know where we will go. I would love to move out of states. Healthcare concerns me as I get older. In Singapore they are promoting it as a country to retire in. They have universal healthcare and live in help is affordable and monitor by the country. I think my sister is paying less than $2 a day for her live in. That is going rate placed by the government. So it's not like she is taking advantage of her help.
