Keeping Track of Gold Shrine Progress

I've found a way that shows me exactly where I stand in terms of acquiring the Lightening gold shrine that I'm currently working on. I currently have 30 of the 50 required, which leaves 20. Each one requires about 400,000 treats to get to level 15. So I need 8,000,000 gold treats to get there. What I'm doing now which really tracks my progress well is to wait and do them all at once (that will be a fun day!). So I immediately covert coins into treats and my treat total shows me exactly where I stand. Right now my total is about 1,400,000 treats. I accumulate around a million a day, so I should be there next Friday, God willing.

Hello DV addicts,

I'm off to build my Panlong Chinese gold generator... I will be breeding and breeding Panglongs for the next many days.. I hope I have the patience to carry this on for the next few days. Dun have much gem to speed up.. So will maximize the 2 breeding caves for more panlongs.. I adopt the idea from Poppy..

Shifted some dragons around to allow more positive generation of cash while saving more money for food which is a headache.... Manage to feed 1 Panlong dragon to level 15.. And I have finally finish upgrading all shrines to silver. Yippee!!

Happy foot anyone here who has breaded their 48 hours or 36 hours... And happy for those who has or close to complete their gold shrine too!!

Yay well done on the shrines and good luck on the bring pans I took the approach of breeding in 2 caves till I had a few earning money then just went to pans in one cave and sandstorms in the other to gain cash to feed the new pans !!!! I've got 2 to go for all silver, I am using pan longs too for the rest of my water and air needed and also will carry them on to get 4 gold shrines as I plan to do 50 pans I'm a little concerned about the time it takes to breed them but I think it's great how much food will be saved by using them plus the cash they generate helps get the food quicker ,I have 9 pans now and one hatching and one breeding and that has taken me about 2 weeks maybe less I can't quite remember lol I have been speeding things up a bit as I bought gems and get around 8 a day ( that has dropped as I stopped accepting new people I don't see here as I felt bad making new people wait so long at least I can explain to friends who are on this thread ) I usually wait till there is about 5-10 hours and sped up the breeding only so I can get them back in I never speed up hatching though unless I need the space in my hatchery x x x x

Right! Poor little guy! How close is he now with gems to get it? Maybe we can pull together and get him enough gems so he can breed 2 at once. Wish I could give him one....

Oh no shellee thanks so much for the thought but dont worry I'm going to buy him an app voucher soon he's only got about 26 gems and he's terrible at saving them lol x x x

I thought a lot about that. As you know, there is breeding involved as well as leveling up. And the Lightening is 30/30 while the Love is 5/5. I decided to do just the Lightening for a few reasons:

0 The longer breeding time of the Love ties up the breeding caves and hatchery which stops the breeding of Airs and Sandstorms, which is a key component of my coin production. Fletch did a calculation that if my hourly production was 3,000,000 or above that it would be better to do them singly, below that two at a time with the Love. I run a bit over that, unless I get a solid nights sleep which isn't happening yet.

0 Knowing myself and how impatient I am, if I used Loves I just know I would be tempted to buy gems to speed things up. My daily budget is $4.99 of gems to finance the Sandie/Air breeding and I'm comfortable with that.

0 I'm not sure if I will get the plant gold shrine. Again, knowing myself, it's probably inevitable though. But it will be relatively easy as the cost and time to breed Plants is insignificant plus my Chinese Gold Coin Factory is already in place.

Oh no! Hope you all get better soon! The grandkids are sick again and so is mommy. Ugh! They are here at my house daily mostly from the time they get up until it's time to go home for bath and bed. We usually have dinner together as well either here or at their house and I have been dreading getting sick again. I have had enough this year all ready.

Yikes! This is getting out of control! Yes, I do keep that in mind, more than I want to since I'm constantly tempted to buy more myself to speed up the panlongs . I bought my tree and my EBI with purchased gems, and caved one more time. Gotta support BFS

Let me give you two examples of what I'm talking about, I hope that will finally make my position clear.

A while ago I realized that one of my friends who was probably at level 27/28 back then (level 30 now) didn't have the tree. I checked in the GC and saw that this person has upwards of 150 friends. Do I think this person only receives 3 gems a day...no. I still return the every gem I receive, I'm just not as happy about it . As i mentioned earlier, I have noticed i have another friend like this, no biggie, just not nice IMO.

Then there's another friend, level 28, with over 125 gems, has all rares...but only 20 friends. Yes, I think it is absolutely possible that this person doesn't need the tree

To sum it up: I return all gifts I receive, feel better about some than others; sometimes I initiate the exchange, sometimes I receive first; I feel really bad when I get the '-and others' message and can't find out who gave the gem.

Don't sweat it babe we know what your saying I would feel the same I also bought gems to get my EBI and gem tree as there was no way I was ever gonna save them up no matter how many I got sent so I had to buy them lmao x x x

Thanks for the info Poppy. Like DragonVille I am currently putting in the PanLong island while going for the shrines. I don't have a lot a gems so i guess you could call it the ultra slow poppy route but my plan is to have two Earth Islands with 48 Panlongs (16 Earth Habitats). With those Crazies spitting gold it should be easier to go for the last few shrines. Just doing some quick math to see how long that would take with 4 Pan Longs in breeding caves the whole time.

Waiting for Air & Sandie eggs to incubate so I thought I would take a moment and explain the thinking behind the design of another one of my islands.

Colesseum Island

To me this island is all about grandeur. It's DV's premier event and it should convey a sense of almost intimidation to visitors. Therefore I wanted it to be formal and uncluttered. To me this is a single function island and it doesn't make sense to have treat farms, breeding caves and the like here. Here are the elements:

0 Entrance
Upon entering visitors are dwarfed by the most imposing of the gold shrines, the Earth shrine.

0 Statuary
Shrines are lined up along the pathway to the Colesseum to impress visitors with the grandeur (it will be more grand when they're all gold!)

0 Flags
The flags lining the paths represent add to the pomp and represent all of the elements that compete in the Colesseum.

0 Lodging
There are hotels and a buffet on this island as it makes sense that visitors would like to stay near the Colesseum.

0 Secret Code
You will notice that the entry path around the gold Earth shrine forms the letter "P". There is some speculation what that stands for. . The larger path that encircles the Colesseum forms the letter "A". Again no one really knows what that represents. Some think it was put there by Australian park workers to represent Australia.

Thank you so much, you have no idea how much I needed that! I've been stressing over being misunderstood here. It's not like I'm obsessing about whether others have the tree or not, it's just something I noticed and then wondered about.
