He's drifted on to other games (he's six years old and has a six year olds attention span) and the gems in his game are going wasted. Gives me a great opportunity to catch up on my backlog.

Yep I switch them round every couple of days but not getting anywhere *sigh* I might start trying for a blue fire again as I still can't breed one! ....or I could use gems to just buy one.... It seems like such a waste! Decisions decisions....

ADDITIONAL TIPS (Courtesy of "GT500Girl")

If a combo is not working for you switch the order they are put into the breeding cave. Ex: blue fire left / crystal right, try crystal left / blue fire right

If all else fails move onto another combination. Sometimes it seems like one combo will work for one person but not another.

There are lucky people, and sometimes they come on the first or second try but I would not count on it. Sometimes you have to try the same combo over and over again. Some combo's took some more than 50 tries.

Great tip.. Will help a lot of ppl to try the rares using these combos..

Okay, Snuggles, whatcha got? Lots and lots of high-level dragons, that's what. I think they look silly with balls over their heads. I like your farm island, mostly because of the design of the paths going down the middle of it. Actually, all your islands have interesting path designs. They're not the obvious symmetrical patterns. I like the sun island, with lots of variety and everything placed just so - not randomly messily jumbled. Winter wonderland is neat, too!

Thanks so much for this Tommy Sun island was my favourite too when it had another lightning habitat coz it was all gold. Unfortunately my greed meant I traded it in for an Earth habitat. I too had to have an 'uncluttering' of my islands as they were jam packed. If there was a space where I could put a decoration, then I did. After visiting friends' islands I decided maybe (a little) less was more. And winter wonderland is my cash stash! Thanks again

Is it weird that I can get a gem from another account that I'm not friends with?

I didnt know this was possible.

I also cannot give a gem back to them because it came from someone not on my friends list.

OMG!!!!!!! Got a moon dragon egg just now, got a rainbow breeding in the normal breeding cave and a panlong dragon in the EBC. So happy right now (8 8)

Just want to encourage those who are having trouble with breeding the specific dragons they want.
Keep trying!! Don't give up!!
Just check the Breeding Combo thread that I started to ensure you have the best combos possible.

I personally have struggled with many dragons.

It took me months to get a rainbow.
It took me literally 5-7 days of straight playing and using up most of my gems to get each of my frostfires and panlong.

The worst comes to worse, you have a dragon that you can sell and save up for the $50 million and $100 million islands!

For those who are more successful, congrats. Just know that we are happy for you, and at the same time just a little envious

Wow alot has happened since I was on last. Unfortunately work took over and I haven't had the opportunity to get on. I'm sure you all know how it's, work sleep, work sleep and DV in between.
Congrats to all who have achieved rares. I am now in money making mode, and want to get to the 100k for the last island so am slowly heading there. I continue to make food but only pumper melons at this time. I just intend to build it all up and the start leveling up my dragons.

So i read tommyb's list of visiting others islands and its made me curious! I have a list if everyone on here who im friends with and will be visiting u all soon and posting. Ive already done 8 and 12 to go. But since im typing off an iphone it may take me a while to post the list. Will just write peoples names whom islands ive visited and if u would like my thoughts let me know and ill post what ive written

Hi all. I have been trying for a second panlong for ages. Trying mud & blazing and Fog and bone/lava. I also switch order every so often. Could any one tell me if there is another combo for it working? BTW, fog and bone gave me 3 rainbows in the last 2 weeks i believe, so if you need a rainbow, you could try it.
