Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Thanks for everybody's contributions to this forum. I have taken what I have read and updated my Breeding Combo List and even added the Bluefire dragon to the list.

and a personal Dragonvale update....

I was able to get all my shrines to silver, but no plans as of yet to go for gold. I have enough coins to get the 100 million 6th island, just have to get to level 30.

After trying for 5 days straight, I have finally managed a 12 hour breed time with cold and scorch. Presumably this will be my second Frostfire!

I am still trying for my second panlong and second rainbow, but once I get those, I will have doubles of every single dragon (except the bone, which came out before I started playing).

I will begin to try for these using the mud(lvl 4) X blazing combo.

Once my breeding goals are complete, I can begin to reformat my islands and set up some major coin collecting operations.

My favorite island that I will keep as is, is the island dedicated to my colloseum.

Christmas island sounds awesome. I'm so disappointed to have missed out on Bone and Reindeer! Christmas is my favorite holiday (and not just because my wonderful wife bought me an iPad - on layaway for months paying for it without my suspecting a thing).

And boo to you - I was trying to see how many posts I could get in a row without anyone interrupting!

I'm sorry. In trouble again. I'll stop. I just have one question, which should I do first, increase my hatchery, or hibernation cave?

Hatchery. It's really irritating when you have long term eggs in hatchery and no space then get shorter term eggs you can't hatch.

I think you have to go into iphone settings, to the keyboards and enable the Emoji keyboard....but I might be wrong.

Sorry I'm not much help today. Dealing with a pretty severe allergic reaction & meds making my brain mushy.

Pls take care!

OK, while I'm waiting for the Airs and Sandies to do their thing, I'll take a moment and update you on the thinking behind another one of my islands.

Chinese Gold Coin Factory (CGCF)

This is probably the most straight forward of all my islands - generate coins!!!! No existential crisis. This island is inspired by the massive productivity coming out of modern day China. Just a full rubber burning pedal to the metal all out effort, paying little concern to aesthetics that don't contribute to the bottom line. This is the engine driving the gold shrine grind. If I could, I'd put a layer of smog over it. Here's what it contains:

0 Seven Earth Habitats
Jammed in, these are idea for the purpose of generating maximum production. They're not pretty, but at $75K they have the largest capacity of any habitat. That and the fact that they house fully maximized Panlongs makes this the perfect habitat for the CGCF.

0 21 Level 15 Panlong Dragons
In a fully optimized environment such as this, this frenetic dragons each produce 411 gold coins a minute, which means each habitat produces $73,780 in gold coins an hour as opposed to, say, a Rainbow habitat that produces $24,000 n hour.

0 Foremen
They're officially called Foremen, but in reality see to it that the dragons produce at their frenetic pace 24/7. They're housed in four pagodas in the high security area in the center of the island. What appears to be a decorative border around the pagodas is actually a very powerful electric fence. These "Foremen" require high security as they are not widely loved by the Pans. If you've ever seen "Cool Hand Luke" you have a sense of the work conditions here. I can just hear a Pan saying "Taking it off here Boss".

0 Gem Tree
As a valuable resource, this is placed in the center of the high security area, surrounded by the pagodas. Which makes sense, as this is the highest security area of the park.

0 No Hotels or Amenities
Visitors are allowed to visit but not encouraged to stay. Which is just fine because no one wants to given the toxic environment.

0 Rising Suns
As the Far East is the land of the Rising Sun, it makes sense to represent that. And as this a dragon world it makes sense that there would be two or more suns. Which makes this island get very hot.

0 Scrubby Plants
A few plants, nothing green, cling to life in this alien environment.

0 Hidden Boosts
The environment for Panlongs to be optimized requires the Fire and Water boosts. These are partially hidden as this is where the fierce security guards live.

Not a real tourist stop, but the engine room of the park.

Hey guys! I just have a couple of questions.

1) What's been a good pair for breeding a rainbow? I've been trying Bluefire + Crystal and Seaweed + Firefly with no luck for awhile. :(
2) What's the fastest/fast way to level to 30? I'm near 28, but I really want my last island so I can move my air and water dragons.

Feel free to check out my islands and tell me what you guys think!

I) blazing/ mud is quite hot at the mo for rainbow
2) buying anything that gives a lot of xp is the way to go but you need a lot of cash

Dragons are hot blooded, the hotter it is the higher production. The Sun keeps the factory at the perfect temperature.
