It's simply not fair, I'm literally swimming in moons and would love nothing more than to be able to give some away. I wish I coud tell you what I'm doing to get them but I just dont know all I know is that I'm trying to get a sun. Maybe you can try that, lol.

I got sun with snow and storm purely accidental was trying for rainbow. Both level 10 as I had got all to that level.

I mentioned in an earlier post that my islands are designed with form following function. Thought I would explan the reasoning behind one of them in case anyone's interested.

Creation Island
This island creates and nurtures life for the entire park - it could also be called the Mother Island. On it you will find:

0 Circle of Yellow Trees
These represent a lei as there no better way to nurture life than to first imbue it with Aloha Spirit.

0 Original Breeding Cave
Where life originates.

0 Hatchery
DV refers to this as the nursery, but it's really an incubator or hatchery.

0 Treat Farms
Where the food is produced to nurture life.

0 Air Habitat
Home base for the two pairs of Air and Sandstorm dragons who continually generate gold coins to buy food. They're rarely home as they are constantly breeding. Very prolific dragons. Makes sense to locate it near the Breeding Caves to minimize the commute.

0 Hibernation Cave
Nice safe environment for dragons needing a break.

0 Connected to the Epic Breeding Island
Again, efficient to live close to work.

Anyway, that's the thinking behind that island.

I'm new to the forum, but have lurked for a month or so. I want to thank everyone for their postings, they are very helpful to me and all the other lurkers out there.

I would like to know if the gem tree is worth buying.. Anyone?

I think the gem tre is totally worth it. The more gems you give out, the more you will get back in return on a daily basis. There's just something about giving gems to a friend who doesn't have the tree (but has the gems required to buy it) that makes me not want to give to them, I hope you understand what I mean.

Completely agree with this. I lack a Gem Tree and a terrible saver of Gems but I do feel guilty receiving Gems from all you folks with trees

Without the gem tree, each player still has three free gems to give out daily. So the problem is not whether a friend has a gem tree or not. The goal is to find a few friends who consistently exchange gems with you.

ok, lets look at it. Player A gives out 3 gems a day and makes a new friend every now and then. The new friends all have the gem tree and give to that player first. Player A, of course, wants to reciprocate but his list is getting longer and longer while he's collecting new friends who give to him. If he had 6 gems to give out that list might still grow, but at a slower rate. It just shows that you do your best to give back, that's all. And rest assured, I return all gems whether the person has a tree or not. It just feels better when they do ( again, provided they have the gems to buy it). I just wonder how you would feel if I didn't have the tree and collected, say, 4 times the gems per day that I give out. I can certainly afford the tree. That's the kind of player and situation I'm talking about

Of course, when a player is just starting out in DV or is just starting to get friends that is a whole different story. When I see that this is the case I sometimes squeeze a player in my list and give first, just because I think that's a nice thing to do. I hope nobody minds that

Continuing on with my shrines again I'm Connaught finish making them all silver for now all my silver shrines that are done are on there way to getting to gold.

Woohoo! My love and blue fire level 10's in the breeding cave finished and I have my first rainbow in the nursery! So I got a Sun with blue fire and love and a rainbow by switching. Now to get a moon!

Hi I will explain a bit further on that too some of us have massive lists and can't send gems to new friends but I find a lot of my new friends send me a gem first anyway and that ensures they go on my list and then when I send one to them ( when I get to their name of course) they usually send one back thus becoming a consistent exchanger I have area ppl like that and most understand that we have lists to adhere to x
