Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

You know, like everyone, I was shocked at what it took to get the gold shrines. But a much greater shock lies ahead. You mentioned your Pans are at level 19 (what is the optimized production rate at that level?). Here's what it takes to get to level 19 folks:

15-16: 81,920 x 4 = 327,680 treats
16-17: 163,840 x 4 = 655,360
17-18: 327,680 x 4 = 1,310,720
18-19: 655,360 x 4 = 2,621,440

Total: 4,915,200 treats

It takes $1,000,000 to produce 20,000 treats. So you will need $245,760,000 in gold coIns.

I guess you can never say you are DONE in DV!

Well, at a certain point i will get bored by these unrealistic goals and will revert to other activities. Currently it is freezing cold here but as soon as the spring will show up and i am no longer confined inside i think i will have other interests.

It's a challenge that may take awhile, but it is what will keep me coming back. If its some that's like 1...2...3... Poof your done, it bores me cause it's not a challenge. Anything unattempted remains impossible. Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

That will probably happen with me as well.

I got some great news today. I had my first post-op appointment since the spinal fusion surgery five weeks ago. I think many on this list know that I have been mostly bed bound since the surgery. But I did start walking a couple of weeks ago - in my house! I used a pedometer and I found one route where 30 laps is exactly equal to one mile. I started slowly but now I'm doing 1-2 miles a day at a 3mph pace. It's odd, but even though it's boring of course, it just feels great to move.

It's standard to begin physical therapy three months after the surgery. Here I am at five weeks thinking it's going to be seven more before I can get started. The good news is that my doctor, who should be High Priest at Lourdes with the great result he's created for me, said that I was doing so well that I can start PT in three weeks! Wahoo!

That is great news Poppy congratulations on that recoverey at high speed. However don't do too much too quickly. You probably never took such a break in your life - though unwillingly- but there are good sides too. And the further you get better, the more you will appreciate the situation. And to be pampered by your family during this hard time has its charm i guess.

Water + Water is 4 hours compared to Seaweeds 5, and they're both worth 250K. You get more XP with a seaweed, but it's only a few thousand different, and if you're already Level 30 it doesn't matter, lol.

Hey Fletch...

I see you're online and I'm seeking advice. The two gold shrines I have left are Plant and Lightening. At first glance it appears that the new Love doll is perfect as it contains both elements - but there are alternatives that are tempting. As you know, the love doll is 5/5 and sells for $100K. I was thinking it might be easier to do them individually though. The Plant costs $50 and hatches in 15 seconds - pretty easy breeding. Of course it has no resale value. And the Lightening can be bought for $75K and hatches in 30 minutes. And actually sells for $37,500.

I realize there's more work in leveling them than breeding them, but cash flow is not a problem with my little coin factory churning away. But I find the breeding to a nuisance. What's your recommendation? Also love to hear from anyone else.

Thanks,
Poppy

The difficult we do right away. The impossible takes a while. :)

Having one helluva time getting my second panlong. I've tried lava/fog, panlong/plant, and mud/blazing in every possible combination what seems like a million times. Lots of wasted gems. Anyone have luck with any other combo? Dumb me sold the blazing I made my first one with.

Also, poppy, checked out your islands - loving the nursery island... Genius!

It all depends on the speed vs cost factor. Separately is much faster, however, it requires twice the food. If you have the cash and want it done quick, do plants and lightening. If you want to save the cash, do loves, but it will take longer.

What worked for me was keeping one of each of the combo that I was using and then breeding those 2. You can also try fog/bone if you have bone. Hope this helps. You will get it...just keep at it.

Good analysis. I'm more interested in speed and ease as I have the cash flowing rapidly. The breeding is either expensive in real money or, as you say, slows things down. How can you not like a 15 second or even 30 minute breeding time? I'm going individually.

Thanks!
Poppy
