Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Btw, just saw that Poppy has made it up to 4 golden shrines! Wow wow wow Poppy, you are soon have nothing to work on anymore. :)

Grinding away (sounds like I'm a stripper). Its going to take a long time to get the other three shrines. And hopefully I will always have ideas. One thing I'm thinking about right now is instead of having a Nursery Island for all the babies, have one that features only a smaller number of the cutest babies. Some of them are a lot cuter than the others. I love the Quake bouncing on it's rock and the Mountain constantly hopping up and down (that one is my 6-year granddaughter's favorite and is named Lilly).
That would free up a lot of habitats to do things wiith, for example adult/baby pairs. I don't think I will ever consider the mindless grind that taking dragons to level 20 would entail. Maybe one king and one queen or somesuch.

Any info for wood element? (because according to the chart, that would be me)

Wood Dragons – 1904 and 1964
Wood Dragons also are willing to entertain the opinions of others. Their artistic side is strong, and Wood Dragons enjoy being creative and innovative. They get along with others, but will always be the dominating force.

I used to have a baby paired with an adult in most of my habitats but leveled them up when the shrines were released. Once ive completed my gold shrines, thats my plan again :)

Congrats on the gold shrines too!!!

The Power of the Hibernation Cave

I was just chatting about other things to do in DV once all the numerical challenges are met. For example you have at least two of every dragon, or maybe three - two adults and a baby. You've reached the highest level which is currently 30 (sure to be upped by BFS), you have the seven gold shrines, etc.

Those are great goals and as everyone knows I'm a prototypical Type A, which makes me a sucker for them (well, not all of them - the level 20 idea seems ridiculous as it's just monkey work). In any event, I will have everything else pretty soon.

Which brings us to the brilliant Hibernation Cave. It has done more to encourage creativity than any other thing BFS has introduced. You can continually fiddle with your park while keeping your covey (?) of dragons secure. For example, once I get the last three shrines I can dismantle the CGCF and stick 20+ Panlongs in the HC in case I need to rebuild it again in the future due to some new Type A initiative that BFS knows folks like me are suckers for. That would immediately open up 7-8 habitats.

The HC provides flexibility to build different displays based on different themes. There's not much I like more than flexibility (well, Guinness maybe). The possibilities are endless....

Ah, but there's a lot of story there, Hazel. I was active in the very early days of the internet - and so was Ireland. Perhaps because of the big influx of technology companies into Ireland during the heady days of the Celtic Tiger in the 90's, Ireland caught on to the potential of the Internet earlier than the U.S. did. And for some reason Ireland discovered me, an early Internet pioneer toiling away in the U.S. building one of the first interactive agencies.

I was invited to speak at many conferences in Ireland, widely interviewed by the national media, and I made a lt of friends in Dublin. And I did indeed drink a lot of the dark stuff in Ireland - and it is indeed better there. There's a downside to Guinness though - it's hard to sleep in in Dublin. The city rattles and shakes at an early hour as the empty kegs are removed from the pubs and replaced by full ones. The workers who do that job may have a wee bit of Irish mischief in them as they love to roll the empties. It must be especially gratifying on cobble stone.

I should write a book about my involvement in the early halcyon days of the Internet. It was a great adventure.

Wish I'd been into Internet then. I had a couple of friends who were. We met through the music as we all played traditional Irish music at various festivals through the years.
Id like to read that book. Maybe it would give you something to do once you've achieved all you want on dragonvale :-)

Another thought. You're probably right about the Irish mischief. Possibly the folk rolling the barrels round felt if they couldn't sleep neither should anyone else.

Here's an odd one. I've always felt the hardest gold shrines to get would be Plant and Lightening. No single dragon contained both those elements - until now. The Love dragon has both of those (it also has Fire, which is of no help because I already have that one). In any event, with it's 5/5 breeding time, it's a great candidate for building Plant and Lightening. If I use them I thin I will save them all in the HC. Then I could have quite a Valentine celebration every year!

I think I'm going to need capacity for more than 100 dragons in the HC. I hope they raise that.

No I don't dislike the dragon itself, just the 'moons' that are tacked on its body and tail. I don't know, it feels rushed. I think they could have done better...

Yeh, I can agree there. I went and looked at it again. Not sure what I was thinking of the head because it looks fine.

Ok off topic but kind of on, did anyone else read the Eragon series? They made a horrible movie but I really liked the books ( there are 4). Anyway for you dragon addicts might be fun to read.

Not yet but I have the first book and plan to pick up the rest so they are on my TBR list! For all you crazy readers like me they have this awesome app to keep track of books read, wanted etc. It's called bookcrawler. I use it on my iPad and iPhone to keep track because I have bought books I had all ready bought but not anymore. My list is always with me.

Baby Quake bouncing on it's tail is pretty cute.
Firefly has a nice design to it.
The Fire and Bluefire have a nice look too ... not sure if I prefer the blue or red.

I have got to say you are the first person I have heard of that likes the looks of fiefly I think. I like him because he is part of my pair to get rainbow but lookin at it creaps me out! :D
