OK - there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that compulsive Poppy has already spent $20M. I needed one more level 15 bug for a Fire gold shrine and I couldn't resist. And that's the good news:

I have my first gold shrine!

Now I'm going to work on Cold and Air with Snows. I love breeding those because even though they're 8/8's, I can sell them for $1M once they're leveled up. Plus there's no need to accelerate their breeding because I need to raise cash anyway. I can let them breed in one cave without paying anything, and then take them down to four hours or so in the hatchery because at that point they do displace a money making Air/Sandstorm.

Baa Humbug! I thought I had enough gems to get my 2 panlongs out of their breeding caves. Sped up one for 23 gems only to realize I'd forgotten to carry the 1 when I added . So it seems 23+18=41, not 31

I need a spreadsheet with formulas, lol

Glad to hear that your back is getting better poppy, back pain and sciatica is awful, it must be a huge relief for you. I am furiously taking notes on your chinese gold coin factory as I am working towards something similar. I currently have 4 panlongs, with another one in the nursery and another in the cave, so making progress.

I must have too much time on my hands tonight. I thought I'd work out costs of food and the results were shocking. Discount the time factor and compare costs per unit.
5 units cost 50 coins 10 each
20 units cost 250 coins 12.5 each
75 units cost 1000 coins 13.33 each
300 units cost 5000 coins 16.6 each
800 units cost 15000 coins 18.75 each
3000 units cost 75000 coins 25 each
10000 units cost 500000 coins 50 each
20000 units cost 1000000 coins 50 each
100000 units cost 5000000 coins 50 each

I think we're getting swindled here I might have to rethink my purchasing.

If someone wants to check my sums that's fine as I don't pretend to be brilliant mathematician.

But you're getting more experience. 50 coins for 5 food only give you 25 XP. 15000 for 800 food give you 25 000 XP. So the math is about the cost vs unit vs time vs XP. The complete breakdown is at

Yay had to post MY TWINS ARE BORN lmao I caved and bought a 130 pack of gems to speed them up and because I've been saving food since I got them in the caves I could feed them to lvl 13 money money money lol x x x

One of the key things is to scale according to your ability to retrieve coins. There's no sense having high producing dragons max out and production coming to a halt. In my present situation I'm online *a lot*, even at night. But I found that three high producers in one habitat exceeded my ability to retrieve coins. For example, 3 Panlongs in an Earth habitat reach the $75K limit in just over an hour, which is too fast even for me in my situation. So I place two Panlongs in each Earth habitat along with some lower producer. Same with Cold habitats - I only have two Bluefires and/or Frostfires in each habitat.

That's the reason I had to take apart my Nursery Island for a time. I needed all the habitats for the CGCF.

I didn't even know it was possible but there it is ^^

No luck on a second panlong so far, nor on the panlong sculpture I'm planning to make. My prefered colour clay didn't seem to be in good condition and considering all the frivolous details it's gonna take a while

Season 3 was the last season shown on cable, but i have seen season 4 and no word on when thats due out on cable yet, so no idea on season 5! But i will manage to get ny hands on season 5 when its available question: eric or bill?
