I agree, however I am very lucky and my hubby endulges me with my DV addicition and gets very excited when I am hatching / breeding rares.

OMG, I just almost peed myself laughing over that one because that is EXACTLY what happened to me last night for EXACTLY the same reason! I also got grumbled at this morning for having my phone beep every 2 hours when my air dragons finished breeding! I figure if I sleep through then I won't worry about them but if I hear the beep then I'll just (casually) check in on the game and do the cash grab and next round of breeding - this also helps with making sure I don't get the 'and others' message when I wake up in the morning. Crazy man, what's his problem!

because hubby endugles me (see response to earlier thread) I dont get kicked out of bed, but i do get the shaking of the head first thing in the morning because i am emptying my habitats and checking on my dragons. its the first thing I do before I am even out of bed!

Oh I have already seen your islands, don't you worry , and they look great!

Your colosseum island, especially, is one of my inspirations actually. I don't intend to copy anyone but there are some aspects of various people's islands that I hope to incorporate or adjust to fit into mine and yours are definitely on my 'try to be as awesome as that' list :thumbs:

I used to do this in the beginning, before the update where we could see the names of the park we were visiting. Actually, I had my list devided into 3 parts.

The problem I have now is that my list keeps getting shuffled around a bit almost every time I close it and go back home (to my park). Does anyone else have this happen? It makes it too much work to hunt down the names I'm looking for. So I start at the bottom and work my way up. At least the scrolling down gets shorter as I get more tired

Yes, the list order changing drives me crazy...and I have yet to be able to work out if there is actually any reason it changes? Why cant it just be, and STAY, alphabetical? Would make things SO much easier!!! Has anyone suggested this to Backflip?

Welcome to the the forum!
You can check back through this thread for various successful 'rare' (Sun, Moon, Rainbow) breeding combinations as it's a pretty popular topic on an ongoing basis.
My signature *points to bottom of my post* shows what dragons I used to get my rares and limited editions and I am pretty sure they were all level 10's as well. It takes a lot of time and patience for most people because you'll probably have to try MANY times before you get any success. Just remember to switch your pairs order every now and then and try a different combination if one doesn't seem to be working for you. It seems some combos work for some people and not others or maybe it;s just luck of WHEN you try it...no one is really sure.

bwahaha, I havent actually quite set reminders for overnight yet (though I wouldn't be surprised if I did at some stage).
I have just been breeding Blazings and Fogs overnight recently to get me a million for each the next day but not to have to worry about wasting precious 'free cave' breeding time instead. I then start my Airs again as soon I wake up. I'll admit I have been frustrated if I AM up in the middle of the night though because I know I could be making even more coin if I hadn't chosen the 8 hour breeders, haha.

I was having a few really bad night's, sleep-wise, with being up for hours with my son but I was pretty happy with the game play I got done and the coin I managed to collect, hehe. It's only been the last two nights (since my son has been sleeping through) that I've got the dreaded "and others" gem notification too!! What's that all about? Methinks Backflip likes turning us into sleep deprived, crippled addicts!! It's certainly the way the game is designed/updated (wasted coin/not getting gem notifications if you sleep too much and frustrating zoom issues making the rearrangement of islands a much more painful and frustrating experience, ahaha )

Haha, I'll admit I am usually out of bed first but that's ONLY because it's generally one of the kids that wakes me up...but as soon as I am up my phone gets switched on and I get into DragonVale as quick as possible

Perhaps in the next update they could get the list to remainin in alphabetical order????

Suns are my specialty i have popped them out with:
Fire/Storm
scorch /snow
bluefire/crystal
soncis/storm

In both caves randomly.

Just got a 48hr!!! I used the bluefire/crystal in the ebc. Thanks for the advice! This combo is usually a sun, right?
