Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Just wanted to thank all those who added me as friends. Now begins the gifts tracking recording! I think i will soon need a spreadsheet to be sure i do not miss sending out those jewels!
Many of the islands i visited are real work of art and many of you work on an iphone i understand. Even with an ipad its lengthy so what must it be with a mini screen.
My next goal is to have all my dragons at level 15 and then get that second rainbow and second sandstorm. I do not intend to go for those gold shrines, i think that is not a realistic goal. And then what ? A platinium shrine at 50 new level 25 dragons probably.
Chasing new dragons is more fun i think. Btw, am making money out of breeding fire and water to get airdragons who sell at 500000 a piece every 2 hours. Am afraid they will soon need some viagra LOL.

Lol a lot of have our trusty little gem books that we carry everywhere (some of us with clipboards! Haha). I keep thinking what am I thinking with these darn shrines. The gold is ridiculous...I'm working on them, but not pleased about it.

Lol my hubby thinks I'm nuts and he teases me terrible about the fact that as soon as I wake up I'm like "where the iPad" "have you checked dragonvale for me " ( yes I have him collecting cash too he won't get involved in any breeding or hatching) I think we are all crazy ........ Okay people - this is beginning to get increasingly frustrating. I just opened Dragonvale (after having completely shutdown) and received the following:

Your friend (blank line) Gave you a gem!

What tha?? How on Earth am I supposed to work out who that person is?? I got one from SillySmiffy straight afterwards that came through fine but I have no hope of determining who the other person was. I'm wondering whether I should just assume I owe everyone on my friend's list a gem and send one back to them - trouble is, this will take forever in order to make sure the current gem providers are not missing out on the ones I need to supply to them. Grumble, grumble, grumble ...

Happy thoughts now people ... can't stay grumbly all day!!

Holy crap! I think I seen that before too but it rebooted so quick I wasn't quite sure. I sent one probably between 6-7 to you EST. Don't know if you received it. Gonna go start that new thread....until this is fixed it will drive me crazy.

And mj I think your island are cool everything set out proper : thumbs : lots of symmetry again too ( I like symmetry ) I'm only really happy with my fourth island but I'm not going to sort out again now till I have all the islands and finished the shrines which will be ages x

Hi everyone,

So, thankfully the PC is working again (in fact we dont even really know what the problem was as the error message didn't actually seem to fit - hmm, yes, that's probably MORE worrying) and so I'm back. Won't have as much time as I would have yesterday though, unfortunately, as both kids are at home/underfoot, hehe. I sincerely doubt I'll have time to go back and read/reply to all the posts I've missed so I apologise if I've missed or overlooked anything directly addressed to me. Please feel free to PM me if there's something you want to bring specifically to my attention.

Unfortunately I've had the "and others" gem message again this morning so please do let me know if you've sent me a gem recently. I haven't actually been able to find anyone I've missed so far as the only people who got back to me were ones I, thankfully, already had listed.

Finally bought my 5th island last night so it was ready and waiting for me this morning. Have done some minor clearing but have already moved a fair bit of stuff over (just placed randomly for now) so I can work on my 'colosseum island' first. I was reasonably happy with all of my islands before this (though maybe less happy with my 4th) but, of course, I decided I wanted to do another MAJOR reshuffle. Then there's the fact that because I am on an iPhone it will be a particularly long, fiddly and physically painful (last time my shoulder and wrist were sore for days!) exercise but I've got the 'bug' and therefore I NEED to do it!

I'm currently playing with my colosseum placement on an otherwise empty island and deciding which way fits better with the overall look I am going for...*sigh* methinks it's going to be a LONG process, haha.

haha, I havent been kicked out of bed for it yet, hmmm maybe only because I usually go to bed before my hubby , but I do that too.

In fact, as I've mentioned to GT500Girl, I have also been known to get on DragonVale in the middle of the night if my kids wake me up (why let more coin go to waste if I am awake already? hehe) but then I also tend to get caught up and end up staying on much longer than I should...and then keeping myself awake thinking about what I'm going to do on the game in the morning etc Oh dear, my addiction is showing isn't it?!!!

Oh I have already seen your islands, don't you worry , and they look great!

Your colosseum island, especially, is one of my inspirations actually. I don't intend to copy anyone but there are some aspects of various people's islands that I hope to incorporate or adjust to fit into mine and yours are definitely on my 'try to be as awesome as that' list :thumbs:
