Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Anyone else having problems with their game crashing? Mine is acting up like before. Now that I have everyone's address, I'm in touch with a BFS engineer and I'd be glad to pass along any problems that others are experiencing.

So I visited all my friends islands today, and wanted to comment on them. Thoughts are below:

I like the long meandering path through the woods on the water/air island. The fire/earth island is a nice symetrical layout, and there's some nice touches where you've focussed on the viewing angle, like having one dragon egg at the "back" and 3 small round gardens in front of it. Can't wait to see what you do when you get a 4th Island.

Thank you for your kind words, and it's really nice of you to take the time and encourage everybody like this! It reminds me of when I first started playing and had no friends (awww), so I'd hit the "Visit Random Island" button and see all the cool stuff I could look forward to.

I really like the centers of all your islands, right in the middle. You surround your warp gates with a nice, simple design layout. I also very much like your Colosseum island's checkerboard section, with the statues and the checkerboard stone path squares. Looks neat, hadn't seen that before. I also very much like the layout with the large flower beds around the warp gate. Not sure why, because it's not made of super fancy decorations or anything. It's just a very simple stone path layout with the large flower beds, but it looks neat somehow.

Edit: Also, I wanted to point out how much I like your use of small/large habs. You don't automatically upgrade everything like I have been doing, which made me think. The variety is nice, especially your fire section and really your lightning section. Really makes it look more natural somehow, not sure. What I really really like is your water section, with the pond on the left but the small hab on the right. Kind of looks like two identical ponds next to a big pond, but a Fog dragon just happened to wander over and go splashing in the one on the right. Really neat. /Edit

Yeah, definitely looking forward to island #4, which should show up at level 20. I need to get those cold habs off the Colosseum island, cuz they don't fit there nicely. What really blows me away is the folks who have a whole island for rares! My only rare is a Sun! Can't imagine a whole island for them! I keep trying, though.

You could say Book 3 is the Climax of the first half of the series. Books 4 and 5 should be considered on long epic (No idea how they are going to film it for HBO)

Hi everyone. I'm new on the forum, and registered here with my blogging and Twitter name, but my GC ID is gkkk01. I actually play on my iPhone (hope you don't kick me off for that, haha!) I found you all when searching for breeding tips. I've only been playing since the holidays when my daughter turned me on to DV.

I've just (last night) gotten my first 48 hour cycle from a breeding pair in my EBI, am excited to see what it'll turn out to be. Thx for all the ideas you share here on combos, and thx to Poppy who kindly friended me in GC when I asked

Just found an annoying glitch. I've been collecting party hats. Thanks everyone ;-) on two islands, separate owners, the hats were partly covered by decorations it wasn't possible to collect them.
One of them was the fifty million island belonging to Poppy where the sun habitat is fronted by trees. Very pretty.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't had a problem since the update. I used to have constant reloads but not anymore. I have a feeling they will say restart your device. That generally helps. Sometimes it unshadows friends in my list so I can send them gems.

I've had this problem a few times, where it is very difficult to get the hats, but eventually I always get them (I think). I'll check out Poppy's
