I hear you. If you are working on the last 2 now I would do them both like I am...it will be a lot less wasted food and coin in the end not to mention hours of breeding all those level10's again after you leveled them up and sold them. :thumbs:

It's almost funny. I have gotten so many sun and rainbows but can't get a moon or sandstorm. I have tried so many combinations over and over. Now I am too busy with other things to even care too much. Some of you seem to have Bo problem getting enough coins to buy treats but I sure can't.

Thats exactly how I am doing this. currently completing water and air (fogs) plenty of money there, using sonics to finsih the lightning shrine which also helops with air and also gives plentyof money and then I just have cold which I have been using snow which also helped me get this far with my air, so I have 6 cold to finish 12 water, and 12 air and 10 lightning. Wow i thought it was less than that. Oh well keep breeding I will have them done soon. Once cold is finished I can start on the level 15's. So if I finish cold and level up my snows will those level 15s also count towards my airs?

According to my calculations, it takes $16,387,000 to buy enough treats to take a dragon from level 1 to level 15. (That's using the option of $500,000 to purchase 10,000 treats, which seems like one of the better deals.). If you use Fogs, which count toward Air and Water, then building 50 level 15 Fogs will cost you $819,350,000. And that's just for TWO of the seven elements. I don't think the combinations allow you to do it for 3.5 times that, but if they do your cost for the food for all seven gold shrines is $2,867,725,000, which is starting to get to National Debt numbers. Seems almost impossible.
One idea I had is to use a very large number of habitats for the high revenue producing premium dragons and Frostfire dragons. I have a pair of all of those, so it would be easy to breed as many as I want. Then just let 'em pump out coins for a couple of months. What do you think?
P.S. One problem I have is that I brought each adult dragon that I kept (31 of them) to level 15 prior to the update and I didn't get any credit toward the 50 required for gold for those.

What I mean is if you look at my islands I have like 6 or 7 water habitats...all but one are full of fog dragons...so I was getting credit towards my 50 level 15's while I was working on the silver shrines. Do you see what I'm saying? While working on silver shrine (water and air at same time) I kept the level 10's, as many as I could have habitats for and am leveling all those to level 15 before selling them so it's killing 2 birds with one stone....just wish I could of done this with all other shrines since I leveled them and sold them all now I have to breed them all over again.
Edit: yes, snow will count towards both level 15's.

I'm having a heck of a time getting cash up quick enough but a tip is breed fire/water for air. 2 hr breed and incubation for 500,000. Have you tried all the combos posted on here for moon? I too am having a hard time getting my 2nd sandstorm. It's been months and I finally took a break from it again. If you want let me know and I'll get you the list I have written down for moons or just look back through my posts. Seems like I post it every few days.

Oh my lord! Well I can say I was lucky there. I did not level any of them past 10 before the update....I was patient in that aspect because I knew if I did I would pay for it one way or another.

Top Dragons to Breed for Money
Here is a list in order of effectiveness of the best dragons to breed in order to sell them and raise cash. I've included the lost coin production while breeding.
(1) Air: $500,000 = $125,000 an hour
2 hours to breed + 2 hours to incubate, sell for $500,000
(2) Snow: $1,000,000 = $62,500/hour
4+4=8 hours, lose 45 coins per minute (at level 15)
(3) Blazing: $1,000,000 = $62,500/hour
4+4=8 hours, lose 77 coins per minute
(4) Sonic: $1,000,000 = $62,500/hour
4+4=8 hours, lose 84 coins per minute
(5) Willow: $1,000,000 = $62,500/hour
4+4=8 hours, lose 101 coins per minute
(6) Fog: $1,000,000 = $62,500/hour
4+4=8 hours, lose 109 coins per minute
As a comparison, a level 10 Rainbow produces 24,000 coins an hour. But does it largely unattended.
Please add to the list if I've left out any good ones or if you've come up with other good ways to generate money.
