Hi GT, if you want to speed up Earth alone, then just buy earth eggs and finish off the shrine.. Its too easy that way and don't cost that much..

That's right! Thanks! I just did sandstorm/earth and got 5 min. Problem is I have 2 rares sitting there...keeping the sun but selling the moon. I also just put that darn crystal in the hatchery and then one of my storms from working on cold/lightening. Ugh! I may have to use some gems to speed something up. Guess I should be working on one thing at a time instead of several.

How can this be truly random? I'm thinking there has to be another factor that keeps some people stuck on a particular rare dragon. I'm almost tempted to copy your or VDL04's islands, maybe then I can finally get my hands on one of those suns. At the rate I'm going I will be able to save up my gems and buy one before my dragons pop one out for me, haha.

I'm also wondering if the breeding island really increases our chances to get a rare. Has anyone noticed any difference compared to the regular cave?

Been a lurker for a while now, quite entertaining I might add, lots of great info, thanks to all!!
I've had two rainbows, both bred by combining L10 seaweed (left) and L10 firefly (right) for some time.
Now, after many weeks and attempts to the nth power, I've finally scored another 48 hr breed time (L10 bluefire left & L10 storm right) - a sun, hooray!!!
Shortly after, another 48 hour (L10 snow left & L10 scorch right) - a moon, hooray again!
(None since - but no big!)
Sheesh! This game is wicked crazy. (Thus the addiction.)
To all that may be losing heart, hang in there, it pays off eventually!

The same happened with me too.. I also got everything straight forward initially.. But now, no combination is definite.. Some strange update i guess..

Someone said it's to do with the type of dragon... The more complex the dragon, the harder it is to breed. And you player level too... The higher your level the harder to breed what you want... It's poo really. but it wouldn't be as fun and addicting if you just got it every time... Lol!

Way do you get if you breed a poison dragon for dragon one and a fire dragon for dragon two?

Been playing this for a couple of weeks and today must be my best day so far!
This morning finally my first 48 hours breeding, I'm so hoping its a sun dragon! Put together a scorch dragon (lv10) with a cold dragon (lv9). Best part yet, as it stands, the little bundle of joy is gonna be born on the morning of my birthday, how cool isthat

My dragons have orbs because they are all over level 10. Some are level 15 and the others are level 14. When you get 50 on the shrines, you can level your dragons to level 15. Going from 10-15 takes 400,000 food. Plant shrine should have been the easiest. Took me about 15 minutes or less to get plant shrine done. Have you upgraded your food buildings? If you do, you can make 10,000 food in a minute for 500,000 gold. Other options are 20,000 food in 10 minutes for 1,000,000 gold, and 100,000 food in one hour for 5,000,000 gold. Good luck with the shrine. Cold took the longest. 12 hours to breed and then 12 hours to hatch. Glad that nightmare is over haha.

Yea I have upgraded 3 of my treat farms but the problem is making enough money to grow treats as soon as I've got 500,000 DC I buy sarjin peppers or if I sell an egg I'll buy treats with the money straight away i just can't seem to make enough cash even though I've got all the boosts and all lvl 10 dragons filling my habitats ? feel free to take a look at my islands and make any suggestions? Well done by the way you really have got far gonna take me months to get There at this rate lol

Oh, this is gonna take too long. Hahaha. I'm doing cold/lightening at the same time. Storm/storm so it's not taking me too long. 5 hrs for each one. I wish I had a 2nd sandstorm to make earth go faster. That one is gonna take some time. I haven't even thought about the next one's yet. I know it will probably get tricky because I only have one water and one air habitat at the moment.

Lol hybrids are usually the way to go with shrines, although I didn't use them. Use earth dragons for earth shrine. 50 gold and 5 minute breeding time lol

What helped me the most was before the update, I had 75 million gold, and after selling everything on my islands I got another 60 million, so I had roughly 140million to spend on food, as well as had all the dragons so I could get dragons that sell for a decent amount quick. Since the update I've sold over 300 sandstorms which sell for 500,000 each. That's how I've gotten all my food so fast.
