Finally got back to hotel, i can now use my wifi and breed the Topaz Dragon. Congrats to all that have successfully bred the Topaz Dragon.

Hi, err, I'm new to this thread and new to DragonVale. Does anyone have any tips on how to earn DragonCash quickly?

Welcome to the forum!

There are two ways to earn DC quickly:

Breeding and Selling eggs Strategy:
For beginner, if you still don't have Air and Metal Dragon, breeding a Cactus Dragon is a quick and easy way to earn DragonCash (DC) since it can earn you 100,000 DC an hour (breeding and hatching).

Many people also breed an Air Dragon for DC. This is very commonly well known because it only takes four hours to breed and hatch. It sells for 500K so this is a quick and easy way to earn some extra DC. (Note: Fire Dragon breed with Water Dragon makes an Air Dragon.)

Yet this is NOT the best way to earn the most DC in DragonVale.
Breeding Iron Dragon gets you 1,150,000 DC in total of 8 hours. This is so far the most efficient way to earn the most DragonCash so far in DragonVale.

Collecting DC in habitat:
Quake Dragon is the best non-limited dragon money earner for the Earth habitat. (Panlong is best limited dragon money earner in an Earth Habitat)

Bluefire/Frostfire Dragon is the best non-limited dragon money earner for the Cold habitat. (Paper is best limited dragon money earner in an Cold Habitat)

But it's not fun if you just keep breeding and selling. there are still lots of ways to earn money (winning races, winning colosseum events, collecting party hats on friends park, selling dragons from fails, etc). Play how you want to play it, it's all about fun.

Yep, time to buy it now. A new umbral sculpture. When activated the original sun and moon dragons will be able to be bred together and a new dragon - the eclipse will be yours ( well, that's what I read from the description) Sure hope everyone has a moon and a sun dragon.

Got my first Topaz after spending roughly 150 gems to power breed, sadly most of the results were Ash with a few 30min timers between them.

Now I'll take my time getting a second or third dragon. GOOD LUCK breeders!!

On Wednesday, November 14, 2012 (Cairns time) a total solar eclipse will be visible in Northern Australia and the Pacific Islands. Very few people have the opportunity to view a total solar eclipse as the shadow only covers a very small area of the Earth and you must be in a limited zone to see the moon cover the entire face of the sun.

All the more reason to buy the decoration and be ready - you will see it activated. I've put mine next to my breeding cave so that if needed I can speed bread whatever I have breeding at the time and put sun and moon straight in for the eclipse dragon - exciting really.

Still no luck for me with topaz - 20 + thankful shot fails, especially cactus!

Thanks Marie, just got back home. And read about the new deco here! Yay! Finally the long awaited Eclipse Dragon will finally come true.

I think to bred this you need Cold and Lightning elements, just like how you bred Equinox, the Sun and Moon result will be off at the moment, it is still not possible to breed Sun and Moon together and it's Habitat can be either sun or moon. We already have two moon-dragon (Moon and Blue Moon), two sun-dragon (Sun and Solstice) but still one Sun/Moon Dragon (Equinox)

And yes you're right, there will be a Solar Eclipse on November13-14 (depending where you live) So this will be a short limited time to breed, just like Equinox.
