I got a request to be friended in an iPad forum buddy list. Is this legit? It came straight to my email, not through this forum. I looked and I see a moderator is looking into this issue. Did anyone send me a request from this form?

Yes me! I was playing around with the web version saw that I had no friends, so I started to invite my DV ADDICTS lol i sent one to as many ppl I remembered bc I had to switch from phone version to web version n it became to difficult lol but end of story it was me who sent out invites I assumed u all had each other.....

I got the same email.. I didn't even open it just deleted it and then looked around here and didn't see an option for friend requests

It was me! In the web version u can find it

As far as I'm aware, all communications from ipadforums will come to your inbox and never directly to your email address. If you want to add someone as a buddy you can do so. You need to go to their profile page in the website view and you'll find the option there. To get to the website view within the app, instead of having to open Safari and log in again, just touch the title of any thread and it will open the web view. If you have received any friend requests they will show up in Notifications, same as unread PMs and "Likes".

Sorry to go off topic, but I can understand the concern that all is not as it should be. Report anything strange to any of the mods or admins and we will try to sort out what is going on.

but I can read that my invites has caused a bit of a Confusion
(leave it to a blonde lol)
Last night I started to play around with the web version all bc of the signature thing I finally decided to dare myself n try to make one, which I did!!! Then I saw I had notifications such as "likes"I was wow this is cool then saw that I had only 10 visitors to my page n had 0 friends....

So I said well let's start inviting your Dv friends which I just followed the steps.

Now what Di received as far as an app thing that was not me unless when u send a friends request that comes out automatically....

Hopefully this clears any confusion n again sorry for going off topic but I only invited ppl from this forum I saw fit to clear it here

Ps marc is now my new n only friend lol

Kevin, when I opened it - took me to this app. If the company are phishing I'm not impressed.

To clear things up, I also got friend request today, and it's from natykm, i also receive it via email, notifying me i have friend request, you can't see the request when using app version, but you can see it in the web view using app version as KevinJS instructed. From email there's a link to ipadforum, yes it's legit, if you click the link it will direct you to the ipadforum website using safari, and a pop message notifying you that there's an app version of ipadforum from tapatalk, you can cancel it or click OK, and it will direct you to app store, yes it's also legit and it's also a nice app, but i like IPF app better and it's free.

O Nat, that's alright then. I was worried I had become a part of a phishing scam. I don't do any social media, this is it for me, so I was getting a little worried. I'm not blonde, but I do have blonde tips - does that count
