48 hr from chrome/scorch. Any chance it's Gold, or am I stuck w/Rainbow #10? Pleeeeaaase say gold!

I have my sun & rainbow in nursery, iceberg on the in 5hrs ++, I may need to wake up at 3am, just to allow it hatch, and bring another dragon to nursery.
2nd attempt to get rainbow using same combo( snow + seaweed) at visitor 50, I get 10hrs breeding time, I think it is evergreen. This is show in sandbox.

I'm a little worried about being able to get the gold with chrome scorch. I'm already having so much trouble getting the ruby, and now I have to worry about a 48 hour clogging up my breeding cave as well as fireworks and forges. I'm starting to think I won't get the gem dragon this month. And if by some miracle I do, I probably won't get one for my egg display..,

Don't stop trying...i got my pearl 2 days before its gone. .some here got theirs one after another. Hope you'll get Ruby soon.

What is the best combo for the gold dragon?

Brass + current works... I am not sure if it's the best combos though.

What is the best combo for the gold dragon?

What is best for others may not be best for you, likewise what is best for you may not be best for others. So it's really about minimizing your losses until you're lucky enough to succeed. Any combo with fire and metal present can result a Gold, even simply fire+metal, but again it's all about probability and luck!
So my suggestion is to eliminate the long fail time, don't breed dragons that have equivalent of 4 different elements to eliminate getting a rainbow, don't breed dragons that have both cold and lightning present in combo to eliminate getting sun/moon.

Why not use chrome+scorch instead. It can also get you rainbow, ruby and gold. I got 2 rainbow from that combo.

im looking at getting a second bluefire and my first frostfire. will the same combo work at getting both. technically i would think so but im open to any ideas. ☀

Yeah the addition of Gold may be bad for those who are still trying to get one ruby. But don't be discourage, who knows you may get back to back to back ruby. i got 4 rare in less than 36hrs.

It could be either rainbow or gold.

For BlueFire:
Fire+Evergreen
The possible results are: Poison (30 minutes), Flower (1 hour), Lichen (6 hours) Evergreen (10 hours), Blue Fire Dragon (12 hours).

For FrostFire:
Cold+Flower
The possible results are:
Poison Dragon (30 min), a Flower Dragon (1 hr), a Lichen Dragon (6 hrs), Evergreen Dragon (10hrs) and FrostFire (12hrs)
