Wow, that really sounds lucky, congrats with the win!

Good to know that you've done well with three element hybrids. I'll have to give it a try. So just to clarify, as an example, Colosseum is Plant, I put a lvl 15 Sakura in there (knowing shes a Plant, earth and fire hybrid), should my chances be good for a gold win? Would a Butterfly or a Sakura do better in a Fire Colosseum?

I know a lot of it has to do with luck. I'm just trying to get a better understanding of how the hybrids work and if it makes a difference as to the order of elements each hybrid has.

I do not know if the chances are better, but i got mostly gold with the following (always Lv.15):

Eart Event = Sakura
Fire Event = Love
Plant Event= Love
Lightning Event = Bloom
Air Event = Butterfly
Cold Event = Bloom

Water and Metal Events i put mostly Quicksilver, waiting for the three-Element-Dragon there!

Okay... I everyone SURE there is no other combo for ruby??? I have tried more that 200 times not, I bought an iTunes card just to get gems to try more times... I really do hate the firework dragon (whom I have had probably 100 of) and I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong . Please help :-( :-(

Sadly there's only 1 combo for every gemstone dragon, if there's other combo, it should have been discovered by now. You're not doing anything wrong. Just have to keep trying. If you failed 200 times, try 201 times, if you failed 201 times, try 202 times, and so on until you succeed. You never know how close you are now to your ruby. Oh! Do you remember that guy that gave up? Neither do anyone else!

Definitely a rainbow, it can't be a sun/moon coz they need both cold and lightning. What are you trying to breed with that combo anyway? Ruby is chrome+scorch, just keep trying and more patience.

Snow + seaweed , my target is rainbow.
My island have plenty of fireworks , result from chrome + scorch. I'm planning to breed new chrome & scorch , really hope can get ruby. I fail to get June gem dragon.

Few minutes ago, with Storm + fire both at lvl 10, I get another 1:23:59:00 , haha very surprise ...

Storm+fire can get you a sun/moon but not a rainbow. Congrats to your 2 rare dragon in 1day!

Hey Frenzzz, after getting repeated Willows & Chromes from Metal x Willow, i decided to try a Metal x Clover.. Know what, first try, got a 12 Hr breeding.. Was excited to get my first Malachite.. Few hours later, was very disappointed to find that it turned out to be a Moss.. On other cave, it yielded an Iron.. Next try in both the caves resulted in 14Hr Tree..
Atleast Metal x Willow had a lesser failing time and more value..
Should i continue with Clover or switch back to Willow or try any different one? Help me out Frenzzz..

After reading your post, i went to my DV, my 2 caves are done breeding anyway, so i decided to try for my 2nd malachite, and to give you more accurate answer i put metal+willow and metal+clover in the caves, both didn't get malachite. But at least both have short time.

Well after venting on the chat thread leaving on a positive note I came back to check on my EPI n it was finished so put the same 2 new pair in but switched them to Scorch n Chrome n I got my ...............RUBY......... doing the DV "Happy dance "............how's that for being positive. My hubby thinks I've gone crackers! BIG SMILE

Congrats! That will surely give positive vibrations to this thread and give motivation to the people that are losing hope. so the trick is to vent all your frustration first before breeding.
