I tried it with blazing + mud in both breeding habitats and failed. Then I exchanged the order and voila! My first solstice!

I noticed that my dragons have to be on level 10 only to have a higher chance of breeding rare dragons. Or is that only in my imagination?

Just played in the vale. When I loaded it up, it had a message from the wizard that said the best odds of breeding a solstice dragon would be on the day of the actual solstice. So don't give up fellow Valers! Just make sure to give it everything you've got next week!

I don't think it matters, really but I feel the same way! Sometimes I will even take the time to level them to 15 and then breed...sometimes I will hatch a new one and level it up and breed. I just try everything to try to increase my chances . I really do believe that switching the order of them helps, though, i.e. If you are breeding blazing + lava over and over, switch to lava + blazing.

Was it in the EBS (island) or EBC (cave)? Sounds like one of the rare dragons. Could be a sun cause it has fire in it

In the regular cave... I just read that the earth and blazing combo doesn't produce rares except dodo or the new solstice.. But apparently this is not the case!

Have you upgraded your epic? Because a shorter time frame may mean it is a panlong?

There are no certain ways to breed a rare, it just comes down to luck so I'd say it is a Sun or moon as they are the only rare dragons with a 24hr breeding time in the cave, other than the crystal dragon which is 24 hours but that requires earth and lightening elements. If you only have the normal cave it will be Sun or Moon. The breeding time for solstice is 23.5 hours. Not 24. But close CONGRATULATIONS on your rare dragon!
