That's why this is a great place as I had no rares when I came here in fact I couldn't even get a basic flower, willow or seaweed but now I've got them all and also just got my second blue fire today YAYYYYYYY which I have been trying for since at least the end of dec off and on in between other breeding for shrines , and holiday dragons ,but stay positive as you will get them all eventually too just follow the breeding guide 250strong started and you can't go wrong x x x

I am starting to really like the metal habitat because of its maximum coins. I cannot check DV except at night, do it is nice to have a higher max since all my habitats fill during the day. Leveling up the metals to 15 has really helped. Considering another metal habitat I the future.

Numbers from yesterday on when I can check the habitats and how much coin I collected from Earth with a couple of Panlongs, Cold with a couple of Blue/Frostfires and Metal with 4 Level 15 Magnetic dragons, double boosted with Metal and Lightning shrines. Also breeding.

• 6am Empty hatchery of 4 eggs, 6 million in coins, and breed a Mag and an Iron. 125K in Metal, 75K in Earth, 50K in Cold. Pumpermelons in Treat Farms save for one doing the 5 million treats.
• 8am (before school drop off and work) 34K in Metal, 75K in Earth, 50K in Cold. Spend 4 gems to hurry along my breeding and load up the caves again with another Iron and Magnetic Dragon. Grow another 5 million in treats if I have the coins, else Blushrooms.
• Lunch time/midday Empty hatchery of 4 eggs, 6 million in coins and breed another Mag and Iron. 74K in Metal, 75K in Earth, 50K in Cold. Emty the farms and grow another batch of Pumpermelons and 1 lot of 5 million treats.
• After work/6pm Empty Hatchery of 2 eggs for 3 million in coins, and breed another Mag and Iron. 75K in Metal, 75K in earth, 50K in Cold. Empty treat farms and grow some blushrooms and 1 lot of 5 million treats.
• Just before bed, empty Hatchery of 2 eggs for 3 million in coins and breed another Mag and Iron. 71K in Metal, 75K in Earth, 50K in Cold. Spend 8 gems to speed them up and throw another pair in each breeding cave. Collect the food and grow some Pumpermelons.

So, 18 million in coins from breeding (thanks for the advice Poppy), 377K total from my Metal, 375K total from Earth and 250K in total from my Cold.

Metal is definitely better than cold for those who can't collect super regularly and possibly better than Earth for some as well.

So with the knowledge that Metal Habitats are way bigger earners than Cold I am redoing my Blue and yellow islands. Blue will now house my maze and yellow will be a Metal Lightning Island. The workers are diligently clearing Isla Azul in preparation, 3 of the cold habitats have been removed, the dragons comfortably hibernating and accommodation has been relocated.



Isla Oro is about as cramped as it has ever been with the cacti stacked together to make room for 3 large metal habitats. The cacti will be moved to Isla Azul once the maze paths have been laid and then the refurb of our yellow island will begin in earnest. A third Large Metal habitat is presently under construction and baby Magnetic Dragons are being bred for it.

Vicky - altraei solved my problem, was absolutely right about it being a Facebook friend who had been sending the gems. Logged into Fb from DV and the real names of my Fb friends showed up in the DV neighbor list. Went through them one-by-one and looked at the name listed on their islands - BAM - there she was! Mystery solved! Have messaged her and am waiting for a reply. At least now I know how to return the generous gems she has sent to me.

... I wouldn't think so. All that is looked after on BFS servers side, so messing with the time on you device can't speed up breeding, growing food or the Colosseum.
