I'm going to join the Fletch School of Gems. I have almost 200 - generous - friends. And, while I keep track of gems received, there is no way I will ever catch up in this lifetime. My backlog is over 300 gems. I really don't want to appear anti-social, and I really like the custom of giving and receiving gems, but it's hopelessly lopsided.

Apologies if it did, I was just stating my opinion on how I choose to play the game in-regards to gem swapping.

I hope you guys saw the remainder of my reply as I was totally kidding around. I would never wish that on anyone!

And I too have gotten the "and others" message 3 times since playing this game in December. (Those 3 times were when my grandfather was in the hospital in February.)

While I may only have 38 DV friends right now, I appreciate each and every one, and like you I do not trade with them all. I only admire their islands and collect party hats. I am almost always sitting and waiting for my gem tree to refresh so I can give away some more gems to very wonderful and friendly players!

Please do not think that I would dare with-hold or be mean to someone for not returning a gem! As I have stated before, you never know what is going on in someone's life behind Dragonvale, and I personally respect that!

My post actually wasn't in reply to yours and I wasn't trying to "bash" the other poster, I was merely giving my opinion on how I feel about gem swapping and how I choose to play DV!

Good Afternoon All. Got a crazy message re gems this morning that I cannot possibly do a thing with. I know I am only missing one gem. It was provided approximately 13 to 16 hours ago (from the time of this post). Was that you Jack?? Not sure what time you are sending them to me at the moment. If it wasn't Jack and it was someone else, please let me know so that I can return the favour. How on Earth we are supposed to figure problems like this out, I don't know. Please fix this BFS.

Bugger, I can't upload the pic but it is halfway across the screen and says 'Your Friends - Trinity' followed by a big blank space that is incredibly unhelpful!

Because my gems have been becoming available later in the evening, it got to the point last night, where I was asleep at the time and was not able to return gifts until this morning. Thank you!

Well...my latest "obsession and lapse of sanity" in DV is complete. My Earth Island has been "Jacked-out." It includes 10 Earth Habitats with One Level 20 Pan, and Twenty-Nine Level 16 Pans. It also contains One Fire Habitat with Two Frosts and Two Blues, Level 15's.
It currently produces $826,740 per hour.

So finally finished feeding that last pan and now have four shiny shrines I think it's time to :squeee: I think you guys say lol !!!! now I'm going to work on getting all those dragons I sold back, not quite sure why I sold so many, i went all crazy lady after food I think lol but I'm missing quite a few now ,also working on a second blue fire too before I start on the other four shrines x x x

Edit : also I have to reshuffle that island to accommodate that extra shrine : shakes fist: I hate reshuffling takes foreverrrrrrrr lol I also still need to buy the metal shrine x x x x

That's cool. So that's 300 00 Food (+ the slow burn of Pumpermelons and Blushrooms) a day to level up my dragons. Plus sweeping habitats, of course. Thanks for that sir.

Speaking of sweeping habitats, my ~4 hour trips to the Metal Habitat with 4 x Level 15 Magnetic Dragons netted me about 68K. So I'm losing 7K each time compared to an Earth Habitat filled with Panlongs (but I'm ahead of my Cold Habitats). If I check them 4 times a day I lose about 28K during the day if each Earth was replaced with a Metal. But I gain 50K overnight, so I'm 22K ahead overall. So Mag/Metal Habitats suit me better than Pan/Earth Habitats and they're way better than Cold Habitats. Might be time for a revamp, making the Blue Island a sparser maze Island and turning my Yellow Island into more of an alternative coin factory ...

Thank you so much Poppy and Fletch for your massive minds!! I surely hope you don't mind if I use a few of these tips! Gonna try to re-vamp my strategy for coins just a little with all of this wonderful information! (forced myself to slow down on food by growing 24 hr food on ALL farms. I used to leave 1 or 2 open to grow quick food. That was draining my coins quickly.)

Thanks shellee ...... And yeah I'm not sure why but I sold off all my snows and blazings in fact it looks like I've sold anything that I hadn't levelled past 10, was not a special dragon or i didn't need for shrine purposes , I think I must have went food crazy at one point and needed cash quick because I've noticed it's mostly the 1 mil dragons I've sold ,shouldn't take too long to get one of each back again I'm just moving pans into the HC and rebuilding the habitats I sold off whilst accommodating the pan swarm breeding the ones I need and saving for the metal shrine ......we'll get there in the end lol x x x
