Downloading iOS5 without a Mac or PC?

Unfortunately, no, as kevguy said. You'll need a PC/Mac to get the initial iOS5 onto the iPad. From then on, you'll be able to do without one.

Well, you should be using the computer that is registered to your iPad; also you'll need iTunes updated to version 10.5 - your iPad will be 'backed up' on the computer and once iOS 5 is installed, your iPad should be restored to its original state on the new OS, including your music. If you have more specific needs, questions, or are trying to use a computer different from one that you originally registered your iPad, then please respond before a potential problem occurs! Thanks, I deleted my music etc from the computer thinking I would not need it again, my daughter uses it now and her music is on it, although I can still log un under my name.

If yur music was purchased via iTunes, you can re-download it after the upgrade.
