Does Walmart sell refurbished in it's stores

HI I'm new to the site, I went into Walmart yesterday to buy a cover for the IPad4 32 gb I was going to buy at Best Buy later that day and they had the Ipad4 32gb marked at $599 (which seems normal) but they also had the Ipad4 64 gb for only $595.00 marked as clearance reg $699. Can this be right? I had two different clerks tell me that they don't sell refurbished in the store and that it was new. I bought it but have not opened it yet, The box looks like it never been opened. I can't find anywhere on the internet where they are selling the 64 Wi-Fi that low. How can I tell if it refurbished? can I do it without opening the box Ser# maybe? I would rather have a new 32 than a used 64. Anyone else heard of this kind of price drop.

There were a few reports back in April about Walmart and Bestbuy reducing the cost of their iPads by 30% to suit their customers. But I'm not sure a sale would last that long.

The store tag in the photo says "8/9/13 CLEAR week #28" so I think it's new sale It seems to be about a 15% rollback?

Honestly, apple refurbished units are just as good as new and many people have them without any issue. It's not like you can tell its refurbished except for the price difference! To each their own but I'd rather have the 64 GB of storage versus 32 GB. Read up on refurbished iPads and you'll see they are just fine and save you money.

Otherwise, this deal at Wally World does seem pretty good.

Refurbished iPads come in a plainer box which is marked as "refurbished"......

It must be new, the box is not marked refurbished and looks the same as the box my wife's Ipad came in. Thanks for your response
