Delete all emails with one click

I have an original iPad that I love for reading books on Kindle and playing games. One of the things that I haven't figured out how to do is to easily select all of the emails in the inboxes and deleted them instead of having to check each one and then delete them. Is there any "delete all" capability? Thanks for your help.
