My iPad 2 took a fall and the left 15% of the screen (digitizer) is cracked. The iPad works perfectly. Has anyone installed a screen protector over the screen to continue to use the iPad?

Yes, I've found the best are the ones that are built into a case instead of the ones that stick on the screen. The cracked edges constantly push against each other so a stick on will lose its adhesion over time. The iPad digitizer actually isn't too terribly difficult to replace if you have a good idea what you're doing.
