Copying music from ipad to mac book

Hi does anybody know how to copy some of my music from my iPad to my mac book it seems just to go the other way

I stand to be corrected, but I think that's just how it is. The anti-piracy mechanisms prevent music from being copied from one computer to another via the iPad.

I believe your music is backed up as part of the backup process, but obviously not in a playable form. I'm guessing though, as my music starts out on my PC, as rips from CDs, then gets transferred to my iDevices.

Try the program DeTune. It helped me transfer my ipad songs to my new macbook pro.

There isn't. On Linux I can easily mount the /var/Mobile/Media folder and copy my songs onto my Desktop, without jailbreaking.

Edit: Desktop meaning Computer, not the Desktop to store your things.
